B.Tech. in Computer Science and Design - Batch of 2028

College is small but located in the center of city, with nice infrastructure and decent placements.
Placements: As of now, there are no placements when I am writing this review because the course was introduced only 3 years ago. There are no batches have passed out yet. In other branches, software-based companies are recruiting, and internships are offered. Opportunities will be there.
Infrastructure: The hostel is excellent. Currently, only a girls' hostel is available. It provides Wi-Fi facility and three meals a day at an affordable price. The environment is good for studying. The hostel admission is based on KEAM score, distance, and reservation. Many PGs and private hostels are also available. Wardens are strict.
Faculty: Good faculty members are recruited by the government. The college conducts internal exams, and the end-semester exam is conducted by KTU. Two internal exams are held on the same day. The 2024 scheme syllabus is better than the previous one. The overall pass percentage of the college is 52%. Many students get a high CGPA if they study well.
Other: The campus is very small. Every programme is conducted. The college is located in the city.

The college has really good infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: Our course is in computer science and design. We are the first batch. Now we are third-year students. Software-related companies are the top recruiting companies in our course. After we pass out, only we can say about the placement. I think more students from our batch got placed in top companies.
Infrastructure: Our batch is the first batch of Computer Science and Design. We have fewer facilities, and now Wi-Fi, labs, library, etc. The hostel contains only 150 seats for entire students. A total of 150 students from the entire college can be accommodated in the hostel. PGs are available near the college. The food in the canteen is good. Sports and game facilities are also good.
Faculty: Permanent faculty members are available. They are brilliant and supportive mentors. They provide information about technical contests, internships, placement drives, etc. The teaching quality is very good. They try their best to teach us. The pass percentage is always above 75%.
Other: Now the scope for software developed is so high that is why I chose this course. We can work in different areas of software development. That is the best thing about this course. Events like Endora, Lakshya, etc, are held in our college.

Dissatisfied with the area.
Placements: Computer Science and Design is a new course that was introduced in the 2022 batch, so we have no idea about the placement that companies are getting and about the packages. Top roles offered in our course may be in the developing and designing side ( design- VR, AR technology).
Infrastructure: We don't have a department due to the new course's introduction. The department building is progressing with construction. The temporary department is an old block building. There is a Wi-Fi in the lab also, and moderate-facilitated classrooms and a library. The hostel is worth it, because there is a spacious room with an individual bed, also a canteen, and the food is moderate level.
Faculty: All teachers and faculty members are so super with their hardworking towards our success and close friendships with students. They are qualified but None of them are got doctorate degree. Pass percentage is upto 50%, and some subject exam may be little more tough some may be easy.
Other: I like this course because it combines development and design. It adds more value to the development as it adds to the design.

Absolutely satisfied because of teachers, seniors, and availability of staff teaching performers.
Placements: No one is placed in this course because this is a new course in this college. It started in 2022 so in the next year how many of them are going to place. In this college, there are many IT companies but there are no students in computer science.
Infrastructure: It is a new course so there is no proper infrastructure for this course. But there are the best lab facilities. Good staffs are available for this course. They set up a new good lab for virtual reality and others. There is a good canteen available in the college. Staff also give importance to sports, cultural, and others.
Faculty: It is a government college under APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. The staffs are always available for students. Exams are conducted by the university all over Kerala. So there is no problem with exams. Curriculum is already planned by university, and they will also announce the academic calendar.
Other: It is the best course for the future. It teaches about designing web development, etc. This course is not available in every college, including private ones. So it is the best course in government engineering colleges.

Absolutely satisfied because of its faculty members and students.
Placements: Our course is new to the college so the first batch of my course is currently in third year so we don't have any final-year students. Faculty members actively share internship opportunities to students. Placement cell is active in our college and helps students to prepare.
Infrastructure: Since our course is new to the college the infrastructure is under development. Only a few months ago, we got our virtual reality lab. First years don't even have a permanent classroom. We have newly got a department computer lab. We have a good canteen. The food quantity is good and cheap too. Our college doesn't have a ground. Students organise sports programs and conduct them on a turf nearby.
Faculty: We are affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Majority of the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The minorities are also knowledgeable but they don't have an idea about how to teach. Overall, it is good. Our curriculum is relevant and it is newly modified. Semester exams are above average.
Other: I simply have dreams of becoming SC engineer. This course provided me with training on how to solve a problem. The programs are too basic in the lab and we don't get a real vision of the real programming world. Otherwise, the course is good. Students organized a lot of programs but support from staff is too poor.

For campus life, it is one of the best options for freshers.
Placements: Our computer science and design branch is a new course in even government colleges and our college. We are the 3rd batch of our course. There is a big hope of placements for our first graduation batch. There is no guranty of placements. ECE, AEI and other core branches have above-average packages.
Infrastructure: Our course doesn't have permanent faculty members. There are no permanent classes for students. Our seniors fight for these basic needs and after it even go to court. Now, they allowed 3 permanent faculty members for our branch. There is no boys' hostel in our college. Boys are living in private hostels with more than Rs. 5,000 per month fee. Girls stay in a government hostel. Its fee is around Rs. 3,500 with good rooms, food, and study facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified from IITs and other universities. Overall, the course curriculum is relevant and good. Semester exams are hard for first-semester students who have no idea. For others, there is no problem. There is no lab for the CSD course. Students are doing it privately by giving their own money.
Other: There are no permanent classes and lab facilities in our new course named CS and Design. Many campus programs are conducted. It will improve the overall connection between different branches and semester students.

College has good students and good atmosphere.
Placements: College provides good placements offers from reputed companies such as Infosys, Microsoft, Cognizant, MRF, etc. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA. Almost a good amount of students got placed on campus itself.
Infrastructure: Currently there is no men's hostel, but we can avail PGs and rental houses nearby at an affordable amount. Ladies' hostel is currently there but they can also avail PGs and rental homes. College is equipped with a good internet connection to support M.Ed by Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and have good teaching experience. They will assist in the completion of the course. Semester exams are not very difficult, we can pass the examination without much difficulty. Preparation of about a week is enough.

The area should be extended, there is a need for a football ground.
Placements: The placements have not yet begun as this is a new course, and the first batch will graduate in 2026. Companies like L&T, Cognizant, and many others are expected to visit. The top role of Software Engineer was predominantly secured by ECE students, but I anticipate a shift due to this course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is satisfactory. The college provides a hostel only for girls. The government has not yet built the boys' hostel, so most of them stay in PG accommodations. The college provides a gym, library, and canteen too. The college is very near to Calicut city and the beach, so I guess you can enjoy your 4 years.
Faculty: The methodology of conducting KTU exams is questionable. The curriculum is new, so I don't believe there are many problems with it. Semester exams are moderately difficult, neither too hard nor too easy. The pass percentage for CS students is higher compared to other branches. Some minor updates to the curriculum with an industry-based focus may be necessary.

For NITs you should have a percentile of around 97 percent in JEE mains for open category and for any engineering college in India for a open category student it is mandatory to get a percentile of over 90 to get into software based course in the college.
