During my time, the placements weren't that much active, So, the students have to go to NSS Engineering College for pool placements, which was a burden at that time.

GECSKP is a peaceful college with so much fun and activities.
Placements: Most of the students in our college have been placed with a reasonable package. Speaking purely for Mechanical Engineering, we have companies like L&T Infotech, Siemens, SP International, Torry-Harries, UST Global, IBM, and HP (Hardware Division).
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. Our college has functional and well-maintained lab facilities. It also has a peaceful environment compared to the city's rush. As for medical emergencies, there are three hospitals near our college. Along with academic studies, our college also encourages us in sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members are so helpful and friendly. They are patient enough to repeat a topic to clarify our doubts on any topic. With their help and a little effort, it is very easy to score well in our semester exams. The curriculum is well-refined, making the student industry-ready.

Affordable government college with decent academics and improving placements.
Placements: Around 50-60% of students are getting placed each year across all departments. Most placements are getting in CSE, IT, and ECE compared to EEE, ME, and CE, but accreditation of ECE was lost this year. Most recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. And so many other companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is average, but the EEE department has a new building, and it is very advanced in labs, classrooms, etc. Here we have a ladies' hostel and a men's hostel, which can't accommodate a large number of students in college. There are many private hostels with lower hostel fees.
Faculty: Faculty and strictness depend on the department. In the EEE department, facilities are very strict and dedicated. In the ME faculty, members are comparatively less strict. Curriculum and exams are under the KTU. Now, KTU has a new curriculum, 2024 scheme, which is a more efficient curriculum compared to the previous curriculum.
Other: This is a government college, so many events and cultural festivals are conducted in our college in a year.

I recommend it if you want a peaceful atmosphere.
Placements: A decent number of placements are held by the college each year. It all depends upon your skills and communication. IT and CS departments are the most placed, followed by EC and EEE, and then Mech and Civil. 32 LPA is the highest package in the history of the college.
Infrastructure: Labs and classes are average to better. Food in the hostel is above average. Labs have good-condition equipment that has been renewed in recent years, and some new machinery has been launched. In the hostels, there is a good food menu, including two special chicken dishes weekly.
Faculty: Teachers are above average in their subjects. You can't see the spoon-feeding system like in schools or any government colleges. The mindset to study is important here as well. The faculty system fully supports gaining knowledge during lectures. The rest is our responsibility.
Other: This college is located in a remote village, which is a disadvantage, but it contributes to a peaceful atmosphere. There are some good hotels and homely food spots available on a low budget.

Good infrastructure college.
Placements: Around 75% of students are placed each year. The highest package is 14 LPA, the average package is 6 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Major recruiting companies are IBM, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Microsoft. GEC-SKP has an active placement cell with many well-known recruiters.
Infrastructure: A central library with more than 13,000 volumes and online access to e-journals. Central computer facilities and seminar halls. Separate hostels for men and women. Sports complex and general space for physical education. The college has a canteen, gymnasium, and other facilities.
Faculty: The college follows the curriculum of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University KTU. Many student reviews tell that most teachers are well qualified, classes are excellent. Labs and infrastructure are decent, and mostly faculty members are more supportive and nice.

Review of Government Engineering College, Sreekrishnapuram.
Placements: Only about half the students get placed, and that too with a low to average package of 3-6 LPA. The highest package offered is 14 LPA. The top companies include Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc. There are many internship opportunities provided by different companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are in good condition. There is good network availability for students and faculty. Laboratories and equipment are well maintained. They are minimum quality. There is a central library and a department library. There are also facilities for sports, games, and medical care. The food from the canteen is just above average.
Faculty: Faculty and teachers are well-trained, and many have doctorates. They are very helpful. They have a good way of teaching. However, the curriculum prescribed is a bit outdated and does not cover trending and upcoming technologies. Semester exams are easier with the help of previous year's question papers.

Good placement happened last year.
Placements: A high quality placement cell is available in the college for placement, and also a large number of students are placed in the last academic year in Wipro, Sobha Construction, and many other placements. Packages offered are around 15k to 30k per month.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and classrooms are available. Wi-Fi connected campus and labs are available, and technical staff assist us with laboratory work. A canteen is also available inside the campus with affordable prices and quality food. Sports camps are available.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified enough for teaching students and supportive of exam stress, and well defined study material and revision classes are provided. Course curriculum does not completely make a student industry ready, students must develop other skills.
Other: I chose civil engineering because it has great opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Workshops and fests are conducted, and extracurricular activities are also happening in college.
