Affordable government college with decent academics and improving placements.
Placements: Around 50-60% of students are getting placed each year across all departments. Most placements are getting in CSE, IT, and ECE compared to EEE, ME, and CE, but accreditation of ECE was lost this year. Most recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. And so many other companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is average, but the EEE department has a new building, and it is very advanced in labs, classrooms, etc. Here we have a ladies' hostel and a men's hostel, which can't accommodate a large number of students in college. There are many private hostels with lower hostel fees.
Faculty: Faculty and strictness depend on the department. In the EEE department, facilities are very strict and dedicated. In the ME faculty, members are comparatively less strict. Curriculum and exams are under the KTU. Now, KTU has a new curriculum, 2024 scheme, which is a more efficient curriculum compared to the previous curriculum.
Other: This is a government college, so many events and cultural festivals are conducted in our college in a year.

Review of Government Engineering College, Sreekrishnapuram.
Placements: In my course, around 10% of students got placed in core companies. Almost 30% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, L&T, etc. Many non-core companies visit our college to recruit students. Most students do not choose internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: We have a main library and department. The library is provided for the students. The electrical department has a separate block. Wi-Fi is available. Labs are there with 2 assistants. A college hostel is better than a private hostel. The private hostel feels is okay but the food is not up to the level of infrastructure or fee.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. The teaching quality is not bad but self-study is more effective for the students. The curriculum is relevant at the time of placement. Academic knowledge alone isn't sufficient for placement, deep course understanding is essential. Semester exams are difficult to pass. The pass percentage is low when compared to CSE or IT.
Other: I choose this course without any knowledge about it. I think in the future it will be useful to get jobs as EVs are increasing. Placements are less for core companies it has to be changed. Programs are there in the college which will be always a good memory for us. Scholarships are provided by the government. Extracurricular activities like sports are encouraged. Within the 4 year we will get close to others like a family.

An honest talk about the college infrastructure and the facilities.
Placements: More than 40% of students are placed, and the highest package offered in this course is 5,00,000. The lowest and average are about 1,00,000 and 3,00,000, respectively. Top recruiting companies are L&T and Wipro. Project Manager, Technical Lead, etc., are the top roles offered by the course.
Infrastructure: Our department has a separate building with smart classrooms, Wi-Fi availability, labs, and a department library. The college hostel has all the facilities, including good quality food, drinking water, and medical facilities. The hostel has facilities for sports and games.
Faculty: Not all, but most of the teachers are really helpful. They all are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is almost relevant, but not only it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult in the college, and the pass percentage is half.

B.Tech EEE review: academics and campus life.
Placements: 20 to 30 percent students in the B.Tech. EEE course were placed. The highest package was 4 LPA, the lowest was 1 LPA and the average was 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters included L&T, Cognizant and Sutherland. 30 percent students got internships in companies like ISRO and TCS with roles like Graduate Engineer Trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the B.Teah EEE course is well equipped including spacious classrooms, Wi-Fi, advanced labs for electrical and electronics experiments and library with vast collection of books and journals. Hostels are decent with clean rooms and basic amenities. The mess provides good quality food though options can be limited. The campus includes canteen offering snacks and beverages. Medical facilities are available with first aid center and regular visits from doctor. Sports facilities are satisfactory with grounds for football, volleyball and badminton ensuring students have options for physical activities and recreation.
Faculty: The faculty for the B.Tech. EEE course is highly qualified and knowledgeable, with many holding advanced degrees and industry experience. The teaching quality is good, and the professors are approachable and helpful. The curriculum is relevant and covers both theoretical and practical aspects, preparing students for industry challenges. Semester exams are moderately difficult, focusing on conceptual understanding and application. The pass percentage is around 85–90%, reflecting the supportive teaching methods and student-friendly exam patterns.
Other: I chose B.Tech. EEE for its focus on electrical systems and renewable energy. The course offers practical labs and core subject knowledge but could improve with more industry oriented training. The campus hosts vibrant fests has good connectivity, serene surroundings, scholarships and active extracurriculars.

Good college, nice faculties, and atmosphere, but have street dogs roaming around the college.
Placements: There are companies coming to our college for placements; however, our college is quite new compared to other government engineering colleges, so the number of companies is low. The college is giving us information about all the placements happening in different companies like L&T, Technook, Walkaroo, etc. The average package is around 1.5 LPA minimum to 24 LPA maximum.
Infrastructure: There are different schemes in our college, which are updated every 4 years periodically. I am a student of the 2021 batch 2019 scheme. Our scheme covers the bases of both electrical engineering and electronics engineering. Yet the syllabus is not that updated. But that problem has been solved by improving it in the Next scheme. For us, they provide additional courses to balance our studies. The college has a wide Wi-Fi system that is available to use in labs, offices, etc. There are collected hostels providing a neat atmosphere for students to study and mingle and also tasty food.
Faculty: There are 3 exams in one semester, including 2 series exams and 1 semester exam. The exams are quite feasible for a student who covers portions regularly, and it is possible to pass the exam if you study before the semester exam. The teachers here are very helpful, encourage us to study, and promote asking questions. The syllabus is not that vast, but it contains all the necessary studies about EEE.
