Mathematics: A mathematical background includes understanding of Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Statistic Stamina.
Physics: Mechanics, electricity & magnetism, kinetics & dynamics, thermodynamics and wave & optics.

The BTech syllabus is not similar in all the Indian colleges. Talking about the first year of MTech, the general subjects taught are in line with the specialisation chosen by you in order to provide you with the foundational research knowledge of the subject area. Further, the M.Tech syllabus will differ on the basis of the specialisation you have chosen and the institution offering the M.Tech course, different colleges follow their own set of guidelines regarding the M.Tech course curriculum that includes both core and elective subjects along with project work in the last semester.

BTech courses do offer a variety of electives for you to opt for in the 5th and 6th semesters, where you get the chance to pick a specific subject that interests you more and is easy-going for you.
