Evaluation of the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sivagangai.

Placements: Students at GSMCH have excellent placement options. Students must serve in rural areas for a few years after completing the MD program. Community involvement and real-world experience are highly valued at the college. An internship is required after the MD Anesthesiology course. The internship offers a very good stipend.

Infrastructure: The college has excellent facilities for all of its offerings. Almost four to five rooms have one wireless outlet. Though certain rooms may require three students to reside there, overall, the experience is positive. Each room is designed to accommodate three individuals. Perhaps the kids from North India don't enjoy the food in the mess. The canteen is mediocre. There is access to most sports and games.

Faculty: Academic staff members are average. There are straight university exams instead of semester exams for the MBBS program. The instruction is of low caliber. Students from North India find it challenging because 70% of instruction is in Tamil. Students find it challenging to spend five years due to limitations, food issues, and language barriers.
