Premier Engineering Education in Uttarakhand since 1989.
Placements: Above 60% of students got placed. The highest package is 10 LPA, the average is 5 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Recruiting companies are Qualcomm, Hero, Mahindra, TCS, John Deere 30%, TCS, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, and Voltas. Roles offered are mechanical engineer and design. A design engineer involves designing mechanical systems and components using CAD tools, focusing on product development and innovation. Production engineer oversees manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in production. A quality control engineer ensures products meet industry standards through testing and quality assurance processes. A maintenance engineer manages and maintains industrial machinery to ensure operational efficiency. The project engineer coordinates engineering projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources. An automotive engineer works on vehicle design, testing, and manufacturing in the automotive sector.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in both the hostel and college, and a smart class and library are available. There is top-notch food in the mess. The campus is located in the scenic hills of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. GBPIET offers a serene environment with views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. The campus is equipped with modern facilities to support academic and research pursuits. Well-maintained classrooms and specialized laboratories provide a conducive learning environment. However, some reviews suggest that lab facilities for higher studies could be improved. A well-stocked library with access to books, journals, and digital resources supports academic and research needs. Wi-Fi is available in academic and administrative areas.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. There is a good teaching quality, and it makes the students industry-ready. 33% is the pass percentage. The mechanical engineering curriculum includes foundation topics like Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Manufacturing Processes, Machine Design, and Heat Transfer. It also covers emerging areas like CAD/CAM and basic automation. Limited electives are offered, focusing on areas like renewable energy, robotics, or production engineering, but the range is narrower compared to top-tier institutes. Practical training includes lab work, workshops, and project-based learning. However, labs are often cited as having outdated equipment, limiting hands-on exposure.
Other: I am interested in mechanical. Automobile mechanics is a forever branch. Events are great. Scholarship is provided.

Overall, the college is good. The view and location are good for college.
Placements: Our batch is from 2021 to 2025 in civil engineering department. Placement is decent for civil department. Mostly girls are invited to the placement. Recently, a Kolkata company visited our college and selected around 50 students for placements. They provided around 4 LPA package.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. All the labs and equipments are provided properly in lab. All the things are provided about the study are provided. The hostel conditions are good and the food service is good. The food is provided differently every day. Also, provide teaching in morning and evening.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. If you have any doubts you can ask them. This is an autonomous college so the exams are held at this college and also checked at this college by teachers. So you can contact them if you have doubts. You can also see your answer sheet and excuse from the teachers. Teachers and teaching methods are good.
Other: Our batch is good. I will miss after completing my college. I will miss all my friends and all the memories I have collected in this college.

Title: GBPIET: The Dark Truth!
Placements: Placements are fake on the college website, and their placements are very low. The average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Out of 300 students, only 40 to 50 students got placed with an average salary package of 3 LPA. No one got internships through the college; students have to work by themselves if they want one.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is so bad and old, like it has been renovated after being made. There is no Wi-Fi in the hostel. It is available only in the department. The Wi-Fi in the department has no speed. The food is quite good sometimes, but I have found many insects in the food. The hostel condition is bad and old.
Faculty: The course curriculum is so old. We live in the 1900s; there is no update. There is no one to promote coding and skills. There are only assignments, so I advise that if one thinks they are free and useless, they should come here. Everyone here is useless, and no one is willing to change or update their way.

Beautiful campus surrounded by mountain, good infrastructure, value for money than many pvt college.
Placements: Around 70–80% of students get placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the minimum is around 3 LPA. Companies like Wipro and Amazon visit the campus. Around 60–70% of students from the Mechanical branch get placements. As for my course, AIML, I don't know much yet since I am in the first year, so I don't have much knowledge about it. Overall, it's a good college and you can consider it.
Infrastructure: Rooms are average. The mess food is below average. The hostel has good facilities, though it is not very clean, but that's the case in most colleges. The medical facilities are available, and the college has its own ambulance in case of any emergency. Wi-Fi facility is not provided in the first year.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful as well as friendly here. The teaching quality is also good compared to other colleges. The course curriculum is very much relevant and does make students industry-ready. The semester exams are of moderate level, and the passing percentage is around 90%.

Satisfied because of faculty and peaceful location of the college, but dissatisfied by placements.
Placements: In my branch, about 60% of students are placed, and the rest appear for the GATE exam. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the average package is around 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are BEL, Mahindra, HireMee, etc. Students get internships in companies like BEL and DRDO. The placement is good but can be better if more companies visit the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. The library has a good number of books. Wi-Fi facility is installed in departments and hostels. The food is okay. Canteens are located on campus and have a good variety of food not very expensive due to the location of the college. There is less variety of fast food available.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not fully make students industry-ready. Exams are difficult, and the pass percentage of the class is almost 70%. Subjects are difficult but can be covered a week before exams with the help of YouTube and resources.
Other: The college is government, so it is the best value for money. One thing that should be improved is that the college should focus more on skill-based education. The annual fest is called Goonj.

Stunning view site. Good quality of air.
Placements: Our college placement ratio is not good because our college is in the hills, so fewer companies visit. Only 50 percent of students are placed. Our college's average package is 2 to 3 LPA. BELL, L&T, etc., are the companies that visit our campus. Most students do off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: Due to the hilly area, there is always a network issue. There is a different department allocated to each branch, where all necessary facilities are provided to students, which helps them use the knowledge practically. Our hostels are well-equipped with all essential items. Wi-Fi connection is provided in our hostel, and there are many more facilities provided to the students. In each room, there is a bed, table, almirah, tube light, and bulb.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified, and they have done different courses in their respective fields. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. qualified, and subject-based teachers are also present in our college. The teaching quality of our teachers is good. Yes, the semester exams are a little tough here.
Other: I chose this course because I prepared for JEE, and on the basis of my JEE rank, I got into this college.

The answer of your question can only be given by seeing the previous year cutoffs of this institute. In 2020 the  JEE mains cutoff for general category for Btech CSE was 49974. So, although you belong to SC category and your cutoff will definitely be low, but your rank is very less. The difference i
