Review of Guru Nanak Dev University College, Jalandhar, GNDU,
Placements: The placement cell was a huge add-on to my career path. They instantly initiated the process of the placement and related stuff when I entered my 2nd last semester of the curriculum. They provided us companies for internships and full-time placements and introduced us to companies that are dream companies for many. Many companies come on campus, including local companies of the state, Byjus, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Datalog, etc. The company with the highest package offers 14 Lacs. If you sit in placement, a minimum of 7.5 CGPA is required, and there were different criteria for placement.
Infrastructure: It was a very good course to learn about programming languages; they were very focused on practicals so we could learn effectively. Every month, they hold special sessions so students can share their innovative ideas, giving the basic and advanced knowledge of C, C++, Java, JavaScript, MySQL, etc. In the first two semesters, basic knowledge of computers is given along with the main course. Hostel facilities were available at reasonable charges, and the room sizes were good. The food was hygienic and well-ordered with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and there was 24 hours of water supply.
Faculty: The faculty of my college was very supportive, helpful, and friendly. They all had Master's degrees in their fields and excellent command of the subjects they teach. The faculty at my college is highly qualified, experienced, and well-trained. We were taught in an interesting way. Teachers are understanding and organize various events related to different electives to enhance learning. The faculty has enough knowledge of their subjects, and they are very supportive. There is a semester system followed, where we had 2 mid-semester exams and 1 end-semester exam in college, along with midterm exams, and at last, we have a final exam.

Good faculty and quality of education, but the campus is not worth the money.
Placements: Most of the students in my course are eligible for placements, and most of them get placed in good companies. One that I had heard was that the package of 6 LPA was offered to a student. For my course, banks such as HDFC and others are the top recruiting companies. Mostly all the students of the course get internships in their 9th semester.
Infrastructure: Classrooms on the campus are good, but the fans there do not work properly. There is no Wi-Fi access in the camps for the students, too. The washrooms on the campus are a total mess. Labs and the library of the college are good, with a good amount of ACs, books, and monitors. There is no canteen or mess.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and polite. They cooperate with the students and help them to learn. The curriculum is also relevant and makes the student industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester exams is exactly as they should be, neither too easy nor very tough.

Dissatisfied because of the untidiness of the campus and the lack of facilities like a canteen.
Placements: Well, I'm currently in the first year of my MBA integrated 5-year plan, and I saw someone got an 8 LPA job at Crescendo company, and even reliance company's internships were given to someone after completing this course decent number of internships were given.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel in my college, but labs, classrooms, and a library are well maintained. A clean environment, a canteen is not available at this college, giving it a demerit, and sports activities are highly limited, not even a sports day has been held.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive, qualified Ph.D. holders, and very knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is great! The course is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready as well. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with mid-term exams and finals.
Other: I chose this course because it offered BBA+MBA under a 5-year duration, and it was better than just doing BBA. The large syllabus and teachers not covering it correctly need to be fixed. Events are very few, next to nothing.

Discover the campus of GNDU.
Placements: Hardly even a single student from our college gets a camp placement. Our college is not very good if you're looking for campus placement. They just give you the education, not the placement. Also, no professional company has ever come to a college for placements.
Infrastructure: As our college is under the workings of the Punjab government, the infrastructure of our college is medium. I can say that our college has all the necessary things, but they are not optimistic. We have a library, fans, computer labs, and all other necessary things.
Faculty: This is the best faculty I have ever seen in my whole life. The teachers are very good and supportive. They support me in every manner, whether it is my doubts, concerns, or even my exam tension. The exams at our college are very serious and subjective.

Hard work pays off.
Placements: Our college is UGC approved A+. All the staff members are very dedicating. The infrastructure is good. There are on campus placements of professional courses like MBA, M.Com etc. My experience was good. I did B.Com there. Placements aren't that good. But overall it's value of money and affordable college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available but other facilities like computer lab, Botany labs, games and canteen is available and the services are ammeable. We used to pass all of our time in the courtyard. The food of the canteen is good. But mostly fast food so I wouldn't recommend it.
Faculty: Staff was well qualified though they were not regular but their ability to teach us above the horizon. Semester exams are very strict I passed with 70%. I used to face difficulty in economics and always had to focus extra. Our professor guided us whenever we needed. There behavior is quit good.
Other: I did B.Com there in 2019-2022 batch. There were so many culture activities and inter department competitions arranged by them. I participated in all of them.

Good college, value for money.
Placements: Approximately 25% to 35% of undergraduate commerce and management students secured direct on-campus placements. Recruiting companies included Bajaj Finance and Axis Bank. Some local IT companies also recruited students.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were good. There was no Wi-Fi access on campus. LAN connections were available in the labs. The Computer Science and Engineering labs had modern hardware. They had standard development environments (IDEs and simulation tools). Dedicated power backup was also available. The science and core engineering labs maintained adequate safety equipment. Labs also had functional facilities. The central library offered an extensive collection of textbooks. It also had reference materials and journals. Dedicated digital reading rooms were available. Students had access to IEEE, Springer, and other research databases.
Faculty: Faculty members were generally accessible and approachable. They were available during lab hours and office hours. They were always ready to help students. Most held M.Tech. or Ph.D. degrees. They also had substantial academic experience. Lectures were structured and syllabus oriented. The theoretical coverage was thorough. However, the depth of practical insights often depended on the individual professors' industry backgrounds. The college provided sufficient baseline knowledge. Clearing technical interviews & securing top tier roles usually required students to participate in external internships. Students also needed to participate in hackathons & develop personal projects. Therefore, getting placed easily was difficult. Overall pass percentage usually ranged between 75% and 85%.
