MSc is provided in four specialisations, namely Biotechnology, Microbiology,  and others.

At the PG level, GNIPST Kolkata offers M.Sc programme in a total of 3 disciplines i.e. Genetics, Biotechnology, Microbiology with 30 seats each and a total of 90 seats in M.Sc programme. Admission in the M.Sc programme is made through Common Entrance Test (CET).
