If you want to complete your UG from your hometown only then you can opt for it.

Placements: Hardly 10% or less get placed by the companies as they have a certain skillset. Most of the students just waste their time completing the course and not focusing on building skills or certification courses. First of all, as its situated in Kolkata so not many top-tier companies come for on-campus but ICICI, Kotak, Amazon, and some startups, mini-companies come here. In BBA B.Com, there are roles for accounts, manager, sales, marketing, and finance. The highest package is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is only available for computer classes. Classrooms are quite small as they only accept 50 students each year. As I don't stay in hostel I don't know much about hostel inside. Though food is available which is mid-average. Consider staying in PG. Canteen is okay, but you have to visit the main campus for food during tiffin break. Sports and game facilities are there so you can leverage them if you want to.

Faculty: Some teachers are really helpful and I really admire the teaching of Pinaki sir. He can easily connect with students and can make you feel rounded by his lectures in classes and besides academics, he teaches real-life lessons which will help you in long run beat career, life, and relationships. Same goes to Saptarshi sir too. The curriculum is pretty outdated so one should start learning skillsets like marketing, finance by own via courses, youtube lectures or more in order. Semester exams of 1st and 2nd semesters are pretty bearable but rest will be difficult with time but you can manage. Few faculty members are awesome like our HoD of BBA department, Pinaki sir, Saptarshi sir, Madhumanti ma'am, Debtirtha ma'am, etc.

Other: I want to pursue MBA in marketing and having bachelors in business administration can shape me how corporate works and their core fundamentals. It will also showcase me the overview of my higher education. Some subjects like PMOB and VOLS are really good. It should embrace more skill-oriented internships from the very beginning of our semester that can enhance the technical performance of our students. Events like POSDCORB and Christmas are really fun. I have a good time with my friends and seniors over there. So, you will get events but rarely. Extracurricular activities like debate, photography, and dramatics are conducted.

Life of a first-semester Scottish Church College Student.

Placements: The placements given by Scottish Church are very average. If you're looking for a college with placement, then this is NOT a good choice. I don't have much idea about the highest and the lowest package, but the average is around 3-4 LPA. The college does not provide any internship programme as of now, in 2024. None of the BBA students got placed.

Infrastructure: Our classrooms have AC and multimedia setup. It is well ventilated and spacious. The library has lots of options for books from which we can choose. Instead of buying a new book for every semester, the library has enough copies of one book for the whole class to blend. Since I don't stay in the hostel, I don't have any idea about it. The college canteen is very affordable with tasty meals. Both buildings have their individual canteens. The college also provides an indoor games room, a gym, and a ground.

Faculty: The faculty is very professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. They know exactly what to do and how to do it when they come to class. They are very helpful and lenient with the students. Very supportive. The course curriculum is relevant, and yes, it makes the students industry-ready with lots of real-life examples and teaching techniques. The semester exams are not tough if we study. Even the checking is done leniently. Thanks to our professors.

Other: I like my course as I'm under the guidance of very professional faculty members. The college does not have many events and stuff. That's the only thing that it lacks.

Perks of pursuing your Graduation Journey.

Placements: 65-70% + students were placed after completing their graduation. Likewise in BBA depth. In the 4th Sem we were offered our initial internships in various top reputed companies to gain experi and knowledge like: Amazon, Encore, HUL etc. With manager level positions in the hierarchy.

Infrastructure: Definitely, the infrastructure is classical and monumental as this college is 100+ years old and reminds of the greatest minds who once attended their classes in those times. But yes! A combination of ancient infrastructure with new and modern renovation quite added a cherry on the top with top class facilities such as Av room, the seminar hall air conditioned, and Wi-Fi connectivity everywhere, huge classrooms with smart boards, and definitely the gym with top equipments and the attached canteen offering quality food at reasonable rates and common rooms sep irrespective of the gender.

Faculty: The faculty members and the teachers were quite cooperative in doubt solving sessions and their efforts and lectures quite fetch us good results. They also organize industrial trips to factories like Coca Cola and Coal India etc. As well as excursions. These experiences helped a lot other than lectures to focus more on practical knowledge which made our semesters quite easy and efficient enough to fetch pass percentage of 40-45% even for a layman.

Other: I wanted to be join army at my early stage, but more than that I was instructed to learn in depth the core concept of management and it's merit. So any which ways I got up choosing commerce and management marketing as my primary subjects and decided to complete my graduation in BBA. This course made me focus on my management skills and most importantly on the practical experience rather than bookish knowledge. Apart from academics, our college also organizes Annual Fest named Caledonia which is no less than a celebration for every caledonian in Scottish Church College.

Our collage has very good faculty members and offers good placements.

Placements: Many popular companies like Tata and others offer placements. The highest salary offered in BBA is around Rs.50000 per month and the lowest salary offered in BBA is around Rs.15000 per month. For me, I will choose any good medicine or any shoe company like Puma and Adidas. Many students got internships from our course. The top role offered in our course is manager.

Infrastructure: We are satisfied with faculty members in hostels. They have good quality foods served in the canteen and the mess. Any type of food is available here. The college has more than 3 Wi-Fi routers in every building. Labs are excellent and classrooms have air-conditioners. We have good facilities in games and sports.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. Class tests occur every 2 weeks. There is good teaching quality. The pass percentage is 95% and sometimes, it is 100%. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not so difficult but standard.

Other: This course will help students in management sections, financial decisions, administrative decisions, and maintaining practical businesses. So I chose it.

It is a good college with best faculty and facilities.

Placements: 55% students were placed this year. The college gives opportunity of internship to the students two times, once in 4 semester and once in 6 semester in order to make student prone to the working environment and help them gain knowledge in their respective fields.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs and classroom all are in good condition. The hostel is also In a very good condition and good food is available. The hostel has a very good timing for girls and boys as well with safety. There is canteen also available with quality food and in cheap price.

Faculty: Very helpful teachers and guidance is given, time to time. Even parent teacher meetings are conducted to make parents aware with the student's behavior and performance. The semester exam are tough enough as it is conducted by the Calcutta university.

It is absolutely the best college.

Placements: I heard about the placements from our placement teacher and the seniors that many companies like Indigo, Infosys, EY, Tata Motors, and many more top companies always visit the college. About 80% of students get the placements. We have summer internships in 2nd year. It also contains marks.

Infrastructure: I'm in the millennium building and our classroom has an air-conditioner, projector, etc. The library is amazing and our teachers are so frank and helpful that I can't find words to speak. There is an awesome canteen and well hygienic washrooms. All the staff members are very helpful and kind.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful. As they are so knowledgeable, the teaching quality is so good that we can understand it very easily. In the 2nd year, we went for an industrial tour where we learned many things that build our knowledge. We have to maintain a normal attendance because it also contains marks.

Other: We have many activity clubs like dance, music, photography, painting, debate, sports, etc. All departments have their own fest. We have our college fest Caledonia and our department fest is Podscorb. College also provides scholarships and student credit cards to students. We have 4 hostels namely, Duff, Wann, and Oligivie hostel for boys and Lady Jane Dundas hostel for girls. I'm staying in a girls' hostel and its infrastructure is also excellent compared to other college hostels. The fee is decent and I am paying Rs.25 thousand for each semester including all things.

I am satisfied because of its faculty members, infrastructure, and good placements.

Placements: Almost 100% of students are there, and out of which, 60% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 2 LPA, and the lowest salary offered is Rs 15,000 per month. The top recruiting companies are Amazon and Indigo. Roles like sales and Hr manager are offered along with an assistant manager.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. Each room provides three air-conditioners with an excellent speed of Wi-Fi. They have a separate laboratory for separate departments. The hostels are old, but cozy which gives an excellent environment for studying. It has a large playground in which students can play football, cricket, and badminton. The hostel also provides students with common rooms for indoor games.

Faculty: Teachers are excellent with incredible knowledge and performance. The teaching quality is very good, and the course curriculum is relevant. It makes the building interest in that subject, and they also provide students with industrial tools for better understanding, and the semester exams are average

Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in it. I was in commerce background, and want to improve my agent managing skills via this course. The college also held events like sports events, drawing competitions, and essay competitions. It provides scholarships and extra-curricular activities for freshers and as well as caledonia too.

Overall it was a good experience loved every bit of it.

Placements: 16 students out of 45 students were placed. The highest salary was 20000 the lowest was 10000 and the average was 15000 Recruiting companies were Indigo, TCS. 33% of students got internship. Mainly in indigo and tcs. Customer care, back office executive, accounting.

Infrastructure: Classroom, library, sports such as badminton cricket football, Wi-Fi. Etc. The quality of the food was very good. Although I wasn't a hostel student but my hostel friends loved the quality of food and was very by the caretakers. They were extremely good and loveable.

Faculty: Teachers were very good and helpful They were very kind and provided us with valuable notes that was beneficial during our exam Time. We had regular classes with the teachers. We could take access of their help when ever we wanted. The course curriculum makes us industry ready.

If you are planning for bba you have to locate the colleges which are good around you locality or your desired location. Plan for good business schools which offer good education. Scottish Church College is recognised by UGC. And for syllabus of BBA exam, I could not find any official document. You should try contacting the college for the information on syllabus through mail. BBA can be pursued by any Intermediate students. Most colleges have an eligibility criterion of 60% but that too is easy to accommodate for.
