The golden days of my life.
Placements: Gurucharan College provides very nice placements every year, with almost 10 to 20 students placed in various companies. Last year, Mahindra and Tata visited our college and recruited students from our college, and their salaries started from Rs. 25,000.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good, and the college is engaged in advancing its infrastructure day by day. All the necessary equipment is available in the college, and the college is very reputable for its well-decorated facilities. It has all the required equipment, such as laboratories, libraries (which is a central library), a highly advanced digital board in each classroom, well-maintained toilets, and boys' and girls' common rooms.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is very good, and all the faculty members are highly qualified. They are all Ph.D. degree holders. All the teachers are very helpful to their students, they take regular classes and give regular notes to the students. So, students can pass their degree courses without taking any extra tuition. The teacher has created a group, and in this group, everyone can ask their doubts, and in the next class, the teacher solves them. The teachers are very helpful and friendly with the students.
Other: The college is very reputable in our region because the college was established before independence, and the college is celebrating its 90 years of legacy.

The honest and real review of our college.
Placements: The placement faculty members aren't responsible for providing jobs. If you have a good score on your graduation exam, then you can have a chance of being offered a job of 1 LPA-2 LPA. We can't depend entirely upon the placement faculty members to secure our future.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college can be further improved as there is no common room for boys, nor do they provide access to clean washrooms. There is no free food or Wi-Fi for students. Classrooms don't have the capacity to the total number of students.
Faculty: Exams are conducted without any proper system, plus teachers don't even bother to make students clear about their exam doubts. They are completely managed in every situation. Exams aren't so difficult to clear, anyone willing to study few days before exams can score well.

Value for money and totally worth it.
Placements: Approximately 300 students are there in my course of B.Com. There are no placements after the completion of the course i.e., after graduation. There is also a very less percentage of chance of getting an internship while the course is going on. No companies recruit from our college.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi available for the students on campus. There is a library on campus where students can read the books only if they have a valid library card which is generated during the admission. There is also a canteen in the college.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and their teaching skills are also very great. Some of the teachers are not up to the mark and fail teaching skills. They are not able to deliver the point to the students effectively and efficiently. Non-teaching staffs are really nice.

In short, it is a nice college with various courses provided for every income family.
Placements: About 30-40% of students pursuing graduation from our college are under the B.Com course. Not sure about the highest but the lowest package offered is 1.5 LPA. Almost 70% of the students manage to secure placements from our course. They are mostly offered the role of a manager.
Infrastructure: There are numerous UG/PG courses offered by our college such as B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, B.A, MBA, M.Com, M.A, B.Ed, etc. Our college provides numerous facilities for students such as free gym, hostels at minimum cost, cafeteria, girls common room, conference hall, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The non-teaching staffs are also friendly and willing to help the students. Plus there is no language barrier between the students and the teaching and non-teaching staff. The exams are also quite moderate.

Does the job, college better than any other private institute in my town.
Placements: Placements are basically of no use, I guess, in my personal opinion because it's just a graduation degree where, in today's world, it is literally of no use. No companies were there to hire. But under Assam University, Silchar, Assam, Gurucharan College is affiliated and hence it provided few opportunities to a very limited number of students as interns in Tata Industry, Bangalore.
Infrastructure: Our faculty was pretty good as it consisted of Wi-Fi, computer labs, projectors, a library as usual, and also a gymnasium. The quality was average as it was not that of a top class. We can't expect much from a government institute as it was a regular one except for the IITs. Highlights include a canteen that offers quite good quality food, basic first aids that were available, along with sports and games that were also organized timely in our institute.
Faculty: Teachers were quite helpful and qualified enough too. They were helpful, and the teaching quality, I would say, was average as everyone used to go for tuitions after class. The course is not a special one, and it barely makes a student industry-ready. It just gives a basic concept about trade, commerce, accounting, and economics as a whole and on a micro level.
Other: It was totally my personal call to opt for my course. There is nothing much to say about a B.Com degree. For me, it just gives a basic concept about trade, commerce, accounting, and economics. More variety of subjects should be added to the course.
