Best college near the Agra/Mathura region.
Placements: Majority of the students got placed in IT organizations; there are very few core companies that visit HCST college. Overall, the college takes ownership of the selection of their students, and around 75% of students get jobs through campus selection only. I also got placed in TCS.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. Library facilities are awesome; students can avail themselves of this facility to learn as much as possible. Sports events are also organized on a very good scale. Food in the mess and canteen, I would say, is decent. If you are thinking to opt for the hostel, there are other places near campus where you can stay.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated. The course curriculum is designed by UPTU, so it follows the same. Semester exams are also designed by UPTU, and the passing percentage is 40%. Teachers use practical-based education to teach students. The majority of the teachers in the college either are or do hold good corporate experience.

Dissatisfied because of placement and lack of good competitive surrounding.
Placements: Only 30% of the students got selected. The lowest package was even below 1 Lacs and only two students got 10 LPA from all branches. TCS, NTT data and Byju's are top recruiting companies. No students got internship and it was students' responsibility to get it. Software engineer role is offered by TCS.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very spacious and can accommodate 70 students at a time in one classroom, labs are also spacious. The library infrastructure is very large can accommodate 1000 people and two-way exit and entry, equipped with chairs and they are high in quality, Wi-Fi speed is up to 40 Mbps. Hostal facilities I did not use, canteen and medical facilities were available all time, sports and games ground are spacious and have football court, cricket pitch, and badminton court also.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and helpful. But the teaching quality is not so good. The course curriculum is not totally relevant but it does not make students industry ready, even students can't give their own introduction. They have teachers for personality development but they did not work properly.
Other: I want to see some improvements in my college. They should not focus on giving degrees to the student, they should provide good learning surrounding to their students. They need to motivate their teachers and HODs. They should make their students competitive.

Review for HCST Farah Mathura.
Placements: Placements in our college were average. Mostly all companies offered a salary package of 3.6 LPA or below. Only a few gave higher salary packages. Almost all companies gave the initial location as Bangalore, which made it expensive. During our batch, TCS denied coming for mass recruitment. Only a few companies provided high salary packages, but then the profile was of marketing and not technical.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was average, and it could be better. I was a day scholar, so I can't say much about it. But I heard that the food served was not good. Girls use to eat from our tiffins or canteens, mostly, during lunch breaks.
Faculty: Not all the teachers were good. Many teachers favoured students on buttering. Many times teachers were seen talking to only top 5 students. They helped them a lot with academics, queries and problems. Even they provided books to them. But even if you are 6th in ranking no one cared.

Average college in the region, Good faculty, average placement, Good infrastructure.
Placements: Nearly every student get placed during campus recruitment having decent academics. But the companies are not good most of them are IT and marketing companies rarely any electronics company comes for recruitment. Minimum package 2 lac, Maximum 4 lac and Average 2.6 lac. Maximum students opt core branch courses over a company internship because students are preparing for CAT, GATE and other competitive exams. But if you want to do an internship in good company, faculty members may help you to get referred.
Infrastructure: I am a day-scholar, so I don't know a lot about the hostel. But my classmates who live in the hostel are happy with hostel management and food is average, the warden is strict. Infrastructure is very nice we have courts and fields for football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, cricket pitch and there is no restriction of timing for hostlers after college hours for sports. Wi-Fi is available only for hostlers but if you maintain good relations with your seniors you may get the password. Cellular internet connectivity is very poor. However, there are no signal in the library and some areas of campus. There are 2 canteens inside campus having average food.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They try to help you in every possible way. They help you to get an internship, GATE resources, gives you good internals and sessional marks. Most of the teachers are IIT and NIT M.Tech qualified. There is bot scepticism in teachers knowledge. As college is affiliated to AKTU so the courses are not relevant to the industry requirements, But AKTU every year takes various initiatives to make the curriculum more relevant and Now from the past couple of years AKTU itself organizes campus recruitment for their affiliated college students at a very good packages.
Other: The demand for electronics will increase in India because of Digital India and Make in India. The best thing about the course is that you can do and learn practical things on your own. You just need Arduino circuit board and its various modules. Electronics software are available online like Matlab, LT spice, CS studio etc. And you can learn this software through youtube. There is one college annual fest called Gyan Jyoti which is a three-day event having all sports, cultural, artistic and Technical competition and you may participate acc. To you interest. As college is situated in the middle of the Agra and Mathura region you can go out and reach any of the city in 30 min by buses or auto. Which are frequently available. Every year UP state scholarship is given to the needy students.

Hindustan or IIT Farah is here, where are you?
Placements: The college placement is the highest in the whole Mathura-Agra region. Every year, minimum 75% placement placements take place. Last year, the placement percentage went up to 78% and the highest package was 13 lacs. In our college, a saparate training and placement department is available, so many MNCs come to our campus.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is at number 1. In our college campus, Wi-Fi facility is available for all the students all the time. In the hostel, the food is super tasty and delicious. In every room, they give a particular LAN connection for high-speed internet.
Faculty: The college faculty members are highly qualified and have rich knowledge about their subjects. They complete the syllabus in limited time and behave like parents. Many times, they organize many types of activities like project presentations, seminars and others to enhance the confidence of the students to decrease their stage fear.
Other: Our college is the nodal center of human values and professional ethics (HVPE). Also, the center of MSME. It is a part of SGI group. Most of our HODs are highly qualified, researchers as well as renowned scientists.

Really good infrastructure, best faculty for 1st year students with good placements.
Placements: The college has average placements. Although this year, we have got some good academic results. The highest stipend offered this year was of approx. 4.2 lakhs and on an average the total package was 3.6 lakhs. In electronics and communication engg. branch, we have got 46 students in our final year out of which approx. 32 are placed in reputed firms like Amazon, Capgemini, Torry Harris etc. We also got 1100 placements last year in some good firms.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure of our college is good. We have got air-conditioned labs and library with all sorts of books for the courses. Our college has good medical facilities as it has 24*7 running dispensary. If there is any urgent or critical case, we have got 2-3 ambulances to refer students to the nearby hospitals. The hostel rooms are good with LAN connectivity in each and every room and good quality mess food and canteens. Games are been played in our college such as cricket, table tennis, tennis, football, and also some track and field games are also played in our college.
Faculty: We have a good faculty. We have nearly 200 teachers in our college out of which 38 teachers are Ph.D. holders and 40 teachers of M.tech and others too. The best teachers teach the first-year students to make their base strong so as to get better academic results and a good understanding of other co-related subjects.

Dissatisfied with my college and with poor placements.
Placements: Only 7 students are placed out of 54 students till now, that too in IT sector not core sector like NTT DATA, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra. No proper on campus drive has been conducted till now. Some companies have taken the tests but results are not out yet. The highest package is 3.3 lakhs per annum. College is not keen to invite companies for placements. Only IT companies visit our campus. No EC core company has ever visited our campus. So, the ECE students are forced to apply in IT sector irrespective of their interest. The roles offered by some companies are of software developer, assistant trainee, market consultant and sales service. The companies which have visited our campus were offering marketing jobs to B.Tech students. Only one big brand like TCS have visited our college in previous years but this year TCS has not visited yet and there is no hope as well. Some startup companies have visited but that was not for EC branch, but only for CS and IT students are allowed to appear. The highest salary is 3.3 lakhs per annum and the average is 2.5 lakhs per annum with a stipend of rupees 10000 per month. No student has got an internship.
Infrastructure: Classrooms have nothing special in them, just like a normal classroom. Labs are not so well equipped. No free Wi-Fi campus. Even most of the computers are not connected to the internet. Most of them do not work properly. Only final year students and hostlers who have registered for Wi-Fi service are allowed to access the Wi-Fi. Other students are not allowed to access the internet connection. Library has lots of books but these books are not updated. We have to study old edition books which don't cover full syllabus. In book bank, we get old edition books and also they provide those books which offers no help to the students. Only 3 cards are issued for the students that too with 15 days validity. There is no facility available for the students who wants to prepare for competitive exams and want to issue some books for 2-3 months. College does not show any support to any of these students. Students have to spend huge amount of money to purchase those books. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games are encouraged but not to that extent where everybody gets a chance to showcase their skills as our college only focus on student’s attendance and marks so that the students are made to attend classes forcefully. There are 4 canteens in the college campus. In engineering building, lift is available but it has been 3 years now that the lift is not working. That has made students and teachers life very difficult. I have faced one such problem when my leg got fractured and I was unable to go upstairs to 3rd floor. So, I have no other option left than to take leave from college for 20 days.
Faculty: I know only 2-3 faculty members of my department who are helpful. Other teachers remain engaged in politics. Teachers are qualified but no teacher is well knowledgeable to teach students. Teachers teach only by studying respective books. No outside knowledge is given to the students. Lack of practical knowledge can be seen in teachers. Teachers are not interested to give real life examples. In labs, we only learn to copy and write. Hands-on training is not provided. Lab technicians perform the experiment on trainer kit and we note down the results. Only one industry exposure was experienced by us till now which was on our industrial tour. Course curriculum is useful but is out dated. We study those technologies which are not in use now. We do not get a chance to study about advanced technology. We do not get a chance to study those subjects which have great scope in future.

A good place for growth. Infrastructure of the college is very attractive and well designed.
Placements: Placement in my college for our branch was good. Students who have knowledge of any programming language will get a job easily. But if any student wants to go in the core branch job (electronics and telecommunication) then he/she will suffer. In software field, chances for selection are high. The highest salary package was offered by TATA Consultancy Services of Rs. 3.18 L. The average salary offered was Rs. 2.50 L.Companies like TCS, NTT Data, Syntel, Tech Mahindra visited the campus. Mostly software trainee roles were offered. After February, many BPO companies visited the campus. From my branch, no one got an internship from college but from other branches, 10 students got an internship with a stipend of Rs 6000 per month.
Infrastructure: The facilities in my college were very good. Wi-Fi was available for every student. Library infrastructure was very good and it is open for every student and in exam times, it is open for 24 hours. Medical facilities, sports and games facilities were easily available for every student. The quality of classroom was average. Classroom infrastructure disappointed me but labs were very good. These labs were open every time and teacher supported me very much. The quality of food available in the canteen was also above average. Hostel rooms are very well designed and all facilities are available in hostel rooms. I did not face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: Faculty members in this college were very good. They had more knowledge and were available every time for the help of students. Mostly faculties were M.Tech qualified and some faculties were Ph.D. qualified. The teaching method of all faculty members was very easy so every student could understand their teaching method. Student attendance was full in Deepti mam's class for radar and digital electronic. In other teachers' classes, 80% students attended. I got industry exposure. The course curriculum was useful.
Other: My college is a part of the Sharda Group Of Institutions (SGI). There are three colleges under Sharda Group Of Institutions. Number one college is Hindustan College Of Science and Technology in which I studied. Hostel building is very nice. There are separate hostels of girls and boys. Girls hostel building of is awesome. After that comes Anand Engineering College. The hostel buildings are very nice there. The third college is Hindustan Institute of Technology & Management.
