ICSI CS Exam: Enrolment Dec 2025 (Ongoing), Registration June 2026 (Ongoing), Dates, Syllabus, Pattern

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, constituted under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980, is a government-recognized body that produces Company Secretaries in India. The course of Company Secretaryship was introduced in 1960 by the Company Law Board. The ICSI was created in 1968 and took over from the Company Law Board to conduct the exam. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) was then converted into a statutory body w.e.f. 1.1.1981 under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. The CS certification includes three levels of which one has to appear for three exams:

• CSEET

• Executive Programme

• Professional Programme

CS Executive Application Form 2026

ICSI CS Executive exam registration is ongoing for the June 2026 session (both groups). CS Executive 2026 registration is open throughout the year for the exam conducted in June and December.

CS Professional Application Form 2026

ICSI CS Professional registration for both groups is ongoing till November 30, 2025. The CS Professional application form 2026 is also available throughout the year.

Executive Programme Eligibility

• Now CSEET will be a mandatory qualifying test for all categories of students for registration to the Executive Programme, except a few exempted categories. 

• The candidate's age must not be less than 17 years on the date of application
• To be eligible for CSEET, candidates must have completed Class 12 
• Graduate/Post Graduate candidates who were eligible to seek registration directly to the Executive Programme will also have to qualify CSEET to become eligible for registration to Executive Programme. 

The following categories of students are exempted from qualifying CSEET and can seek registration directly to the Executive Programme: 

Qualifying Cut off 

Candidates need to secure an aggregate of 50% and a minimum of 40% in each subject in CSEET. 

Professional Programme Eligibility

Professional Programme is the final level in Company Secretaryship. Candidates who have cleared their Foundation and Executive Programmes are eligible to undertake the Professional Programme.

Eligibility:

• The candidate is supposed to register for the Professional Programme nine months prior to the month in which the examination commences to be able to be admitted to the programme.
• A candidate registered six months prior to the examination month may be allowed to appear in any one or two modules of the Professional Programme.
• The candidate must have undergone postal or oral tuition for the modules in which he/she intends to appear in the examination.

Here’s an overview:

Qualifying cutoff:    
For all Modules:

• A candidate will be declared passed if he/she secures in one sitting a minimum of 40 per cent in each of the papers and 40 per cent in aggregate of all the papers.
• A candidate will be declared passed is he/she has passed any one or more modules of the Professional examination under old syllabus and secures in one sitting at least 40% marks in each of the remaining papers and 50% marks in aggregate.

For one Module:

• The candidate is required to secure a minimum of 40% marks in each of the papers and 50% per cent marks in aggregate, which will be declared ‘pass’ in the Professional Programme.
• If a candidate who has failed in one subject, but got a minimum of 60% of the total marks of the remaining subjects of the module, shall be declared ‘pass’ if he/she secures a minimum of 50% interest. 

ICSI begins the CS Executive, Professional exam enrollment soon after the declaration of results. Candidates willing to appear for the ICSI CS December 2025 session must enroll for the exam on or before the last date. Candidates will be required to pay the examination fee per module.

ICSI releases the CS admit card examination online. Only registered candidates can download CS Executive Dec 2025 admit card or CS Professional Dec 2025 hall ticket. Candidates will be required to enter the login credentials to download the admit card. The ICSI CS admit card is an important document that has to be carried on the day of the examination.

ICSI has released the CS Executive and CS Professional exam centre for the upcoming session. Candidates registered for CS Executive or CS Professional examination can know the exam centre details on release of the ICSI CS 2025 admit card. Candidates must ensure to report at the allotted exam centre at given date and time.
