Decent placements, but connectivity and infrastructure are issues.
Placements: The placement season is still ongoing. Thus far, around 70% of the students have been placed through on and off-campus placements (overall across both branches of CSE and ECE). In terms of the number of students, the companies that have hired the most students are CGI (22) and Deloitte (15). Some other companies that have recruited through campus placements include Samsung, Natwest, Accenture, Tekion, Alteryx, etc. Some have secured jobs in major product-based companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Google off-campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired. There is an old boys hostel with seven floors and there is a small boys hostel beside it with a slanting roof which was constructed a couple of years ago. The quality of food is average. There is a canteen near the academic block and there is a night canteen (Nescafe) and a night mess inside the hostel. It lacks medical facilities and while there is medicine available in the hostel, there is no infirmary or on-the-house doctor. There is an ambulance that is available on campus at all times.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Most of them have Ph.D. from IITs or foreign universities. However, teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher. The curriculum is mostly relevant, but certain subjects may be obsolete. However, to be industry-ready, you have to work on DSA, Web development, and AI/ML on your terms.
Other: While connectivity to other cities is not a problem since the airport is only 5 km away from the campus, it is quite far away from the city and accessibility is a major issue. There are fests like Yuvaan and Entropy, but don't expect things you SEE from private institutes.

Worth exploring and participating.
Placements: Recently, placement has declined compared to previous years it might be because of the recession, but still, the number of students placed is quite low. I joined this college just because of its high placement rates, but it is becoming poor. I don't know about other colleges how are they doing. There is a senior from 3rd or 4th year who bagged a placement in JP Morgan and Case.
Infrastructure: So, I am in my 2nd year, and the course infrastructure is quite decent. The Wi-Fi in the academic building is fast most days, but sometimes it needs some serious repair. Labs are well maintained but the available pc is not that fast (you have to bring your laptop from 2nd year onwards to labs). Hostel rooms are double-sharing rooms with bunker beds and a personal bathroom. The size of the rooms is a little bit small but it's fine. There is a newly established student activity center for sports consisting of a gym, badminton court, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable. Their teaching practices are also good. The paper they set is quite difficult, sometimes it surpasses the IIT level but still, they are manageable if you study hard. Faculty is not that much supportive in other fields than academics. Students become industry level but their results sometimes don't match the criteria so eventually they don't get placed.

It is the best college in the Northeast after IIT Guwahati to join.
Placements: We do have a placement cell at our institute which brings many companies to the institute for placements and internships. The placement cell motivates the students to do internships so that they will get good work exposure and experience. It helps students find jobs more easily.
Infrastructure: The campus totally covers an area of nearly 70 acres. The total campus is lush green. We have one administrative building where daily classes go on and are equipped with labs and the library. There are three boys hostels, two girls hostels, and one faculty member's residential building. We do find many food stalls around the campus and a student activity center.
Faculty: The academic curriculum here is good and updated according to present-day trends. The institute is also planning to set up an artificial intelligence and robotics lab, keeping the future in view. The entry requirement to this institute requires getting a good percentile in JEE Main, and my motive to enroll in this program is the strong academic foundation provided here.
Other: I chose this institute as I have an interest in doing computer science and engineering from a well-esteemed institute, which motivated me to take up this institute. My overall experience here has been good, and the academics here are good. One should compromise on too many cultural fests and an entertaining environment prevailing here. We also got opportunities to play sports.

The college has good faculty members, good placements in 2025, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: The placement cell in our institute has been working hard and is now almost at its peak. Due to COVID-19, placements have decreased, but as each year passes, it is getting an exponential curve upwards. The cell considers every student and helps each one of them. Talking about internships and placements off campus, a lot of students even is placed in companies like Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, and ISRO as well (a lot more but these were on top of my mind). Average placement is above 17 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology is very big. The infrastructure is also very good. There are many classrooms in college. Classrooms are equipped with AC. There is a single library. There is a town hall in which we enjoy many cultural programs. There are two canteens on our college campus and mini canteens outside the campus.
Faculty: The course student is computer science and engineering department at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati. My motive for choosing this institute was its good academic curriculum, its infrastructure, its facilities, the sports opportunities, etc. This is also good for playing cricket so I chose this Institute. To enter this Institute you need to score well in JEE Main and then participate in counseling. There are two exams, 1 middle semester exam and one at the end of each semester. The academy is very structured to provide you the exposure to real-life challenges.
Other: Overall rating Indian Information Technology Guwahati is an institute of national importance. It is situated in the heart city of Assam Guwahati. My college is a dream college of millions of students. This institute is very good and its infrastructure is just amazing which is not found in other institutions. This is one of the reasons why I chose this institute. The other reasons include coding culture, placement, intensive opportunities, etc. These factors drive my attention to this college. My branch is computer science and engineering at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati.

Absolutely satisfied because of its good teachers, decent placements, and super college life.
Placements: More than 85% of students got placed overall. More than 60% of ECE students got placed and got very high packages. The highest package is 80 LPA. The average package for the ECE branch ranges from 12 LPA - 13 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nvidia Information, EDGE, Gamecroft, etc. Over 50% of students got internships from our course in top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and JP Morgan. Top roles offered are machine learning engineer, research and development engineer, and software analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent enough. There is one hostel room with an attached washroom, desk, chair, and cupboard for 2 people in the library. There is availability of journals and other books. Labs are equipped with everything. Wi-Fi is available everywhere. Classrooms have whiteboards as well as a projector for smart learning. Mess is available in the hostel itself. There is a medical shop just outside the campus and a 24/7 available ambulance in case of emergencies. Both indoor and outdoor games are available like chess, table tennis, cricket, football, carrom, etc. There is availability of gym with equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. They have done their PhDs from prestigious colleges like IIT and Heidelberg University. Their teaching quality and methods are great and efficient. The course curriculum is very much relevant and helps with real-life industry problems. The difficulty of the exams ranges from easy to medium, and mostly all students pass the exam.

It has a decent college life and is good to study in.
Placements: As of April 30, 2024, IIIT Guwahati placed 62.5% of CSE students in its 2024 batch. The highest salary package offered reached 52 LPA, and the average salary being offered was 15.26 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Amazon, Atlassian, Cisco, DE Shaw, Deloitte, DeltaX, and Flipkart. Roles offered are software engineer, full stack developer, DevOps engineer, product manager, and a few others.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good in the academic building but it is not reliable in the hostels. Labs are decent, and the classrooms are quite comfortable. Library has a decent seating area. The hostel is good, but the food served is not good. In terms of medical facilities, we have an ambulance. There is a gym, badminton court, table tennis, carrom, chess, cricket, and football facilities available.
Faculty: The teaching quality is quite good. We have guest lecturers from IIT Guwahati. The course design is very good. Exams are not very hard , one can pass by a one-night study. But regular classes are important. There is no such pass percentage because it is all relative grading.
