NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIT Jammu ranks #62 under the category 'Engineering'.
The GATE COAP counselling 2025 offers window for Round 6 is now open for admission to the ME/MTech courses. Candidates who have been allotted seats in this round are required to log in to the official COAP portal and choose either "Accept & Freeze" or "Reject" to confirm their seat allotments by Jun 19, 2025 (up to 6 PM).
A few more updates are given below:
- The JoSAA Round 1 seat allotment results 2025 have been published for IIT Jammu admission to BE/BTech courses. The last date for fee payment and document upload by candidates who have been allocated seats in this round is Jun 18, 2025. Further, the Round 2 seat allocation results will be published on Jun 21, 2025.
- The IIT JAM 2025 third admission list has been declared for admission to the MSc course. Candidates offered seats in the 3rd list need to log in to the official JAM portal to view their status and are required to pay the seat confirmation fee till Jun 20, 2025. Additionally, the fourth admission list is tentatively scheduled to be released on Jun 30, 2025.

No, candidates seeking admission to BTech at IIT Jammu must have qualified JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced for admission. Final selection of candidates to IIT Jammu BTech programme is based on their JEE Advanced ranks. The counselling process is managed and regulated by JoSAA. Candidates are allotted seats via multiple rounds of JoSAA Counselling. Final seat allotment is based on the college cutoff and candidate's preference of courses and colleges.
IIT Jammu 2024 cutoff ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering other than General category are mentioned below

The IIT Jammu highest and average package offered during BTech CSE placements 2024 was INR 52 LPA and INR 19 LPA, respectively. A total of 114 companies participated in the drive and 132 offers were made during IIT Jammu placements 2024 for BTech course. In 2023, IIT Jammu has concluded the placements with an 85% placement rate. As per the latest report, over 129 recruiters participated in the placement drive and offered 224 job offers to the batch of 2023.

IIT Jammu so far has not gotten ranked by NIRF for the Engineering category owing to the fact that it is still too new among all IITs. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The schedule of JEE Main counselling will be declared by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority after the declaration of the JEE Main result. The counselling will be conducted tentatively in the months of June and July. There will be a total of six rounds of counselling and seat allotment which will be conducted by JOSAA. The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, closing rank was 10,005 in 2024. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, closing rank for female candidates was 18,177. Admission to B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering in IIT Kanpur is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Candidates willing to be admitted to any of the programmes offered at IIT Jammu must fill out the application for the prescribed entrance exams based on which they will be selected for further IIT Jammu admission process. No, JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to IIT Jammu are not out yet. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. JoSAA 2025 counselling choice filling last date is June 12. Note that, once the JoSAA choice filling window closes candidates will not be allowed to edit the choice list.
