Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE is an online national-level examination conducted for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech). To get into M.Tech programme in IIIT Kota candidates have to appear for the GATE exam. The GATE 2026 exam dates are February 7, 8, 14, and 15. The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts: (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm) online. 

IIIT Kota has released the M.Tech Cutoff 2025 for various specialisations in the form of opening and closing scores for different rounds and categories. For admission to  M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE-Semiconductor Technology) IIIT Kota cutoff 2025 for the general category candidates ranged from 370 to 366 in the first and last rounds. For the OBC category, the cutoff score ranged between 330 to 320. IIIT Kota offers BTech in two specialisation i.e. Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The seat intake for BTech CSE is 90, which is less than CE whose seat intake is 180.

Medical: A full-fledged dispensary is available on the campus. It is supervised by a residential Medical Officer and two compounders. The services of a part-time allopathic doctor and a lady doctor are also available to students and family members of the staff.

Computer Centre: The Computer Centre, a centralised computing facility of the Institute since 1989, caters to the needs of different academic departments and various sections of the Institute by providing and managing extensive computing and networking facilities.

No, there are no age restrictions for admission to the M.Tech programme at IIIT Kota. Candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as released by the institute for admission which is that candidates must have at least completed their Class 10, Class 12 and a 3-year UG degree. However, those who are in the last year of their UG degree can apply for GATE exam which is the minimum criteria for admission to this college and course.

Admission to the BTech course at IIIT Kota is solely based on the candidate’s JEE Main exam score, followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), through which they are allotted a seat. Hence, the OJEE exam is not necessary for admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Kota. Candidates also need to fulfil the eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the course. The eligibility criteria is that candidate mst have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% in Science stream.

Yes,  JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to IIIT Kota are out now but the dates are tentative. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions will be announced in the notification.
