For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering was 51499 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIIT Trichy.
The IIIT Trichy BTech admissions 2025 are based on candidates' JEE Main scores. Qualifying candidates must go for Registration for JoSAA counseling which is free of charge. Applicants are not required to pay to register for or take part in the counseling. IIIT Trichy B Tech is a four year UG programme focusing on computer science, electronics and communication engineering. For every semester, IIIT Trichy charges a fee of INR 7.32 Lacs and provides 65 seats. For the CSE branch, 14915 marks in the JEE Main exam are required to be admitted to the programme. According to admission records for 2021, the closing grade of CSE branch in round 6 was 18509.
The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT Trichy other than General category are - 60677 for OBC, 107451 for SC, 176528 for ST, 54904 for EWS, and 897 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. Considering only parameters based on package students will find that in terms of package IIIT Kancheepuram offers better packages of INR 32 Lakhs in the highest but IIIT Trichy wins in average packages of INR 9.
