Best faculty, but the infrastructure is not good.
Placements: According to our system, a CGPA above 7 is considered good for getting a job in our college. Good internships also come based on CGPA. If you have strong coding skills and participate in activities like hackathons. Placements are good.
Infrastructure: We do not have very good infrastructure. We do not have sufficient playgrounds to play cricket or other outdoor games like volleyball and football. There is one badminton court, but it is not good. We have only four buildings. The academic building, administrative building, residential building, and hostel building. That’s it.
Faculty: Faculty in our college is very good. They are highly professional and many have completed their Ph.D. from NIT, IIIT, and other reputed institutions. They also have significant certificates from research centers and are very experienced. The examination pattern includes midterm examinations and a semester exam, and our faculty corrects those papers.

This college has good placement. I recommend it to all students.
Placements: Placement in our branch is decent enough, with around 70-80% getting placed and 70% securing internships as well. The average salary is around 10-12 LPA for the CS branch, and the highest package went up to 90 LPA. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Zomato, Nvidia, and other reputed ones have visited for recruitments. The potential for placements in the college is good, as Nagpur is slowly becoming an IT hub.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good; Wi-Fi, labs, and classes are all decent and well managed. Academically, it has been really great with all the facilities provided. A sports ground has been made, although it is not in use as of now. The ground is said to be mainly used for football and cricket. Mess food is a bit lower than okay, not much to be expected, but okay for survival.
Faculty: Some faculty members are okay, but some lack the lustre, while others show actual dedication to their course. As far as the curriculum is concerned, it is very damn heavy and requires determination, not just attending lectures. Self-study is surely required, as the semester exams are difficult for all.

Nothing depends on college. This college only gives you IIITian tag.
Placements: Students hardly get on-campus placement, because off-course they have to maintain CGPA which is not easy thing in our college. Exams are so tough, and grading is also relatively tough. So many students from here prepare for off-campus placement, improve their skills, and get better packages than on-campus.
Infrastructure: There is only 1 hostel, 1 guest house, 1 academic building, and 1 admin building. So in total only 4 buildings are there. Hostels capacity is not enough to accommodate all students so many students have to live on their own. Wi-Fi in labs is good but in hostel it is dead. They recently completed the football ground 2 months ago but they do not let anyone play in it.
Faculty: Level of exams is good, like you really have to study hard to score good. Lab exams are also taken very seriously. There are now mid-semester and end-semester exams. Lab exams are also taken before the mid and end semester. In lab subjects, they give project work also which we have to do with a team.
Other: This course is good for teaching you so much about future technology. Campus is in a remote place, and there is nothing around here. Fest is also so boring but now they are getting good year by year.

Inside details, IIIT Nagpur 2025 review.
Placements: About 80-90% of eligible students got placed this year. The placements in our college are overall above average. The average package offered is 14 LPA, the median package is 12 LPA, and the highest package is 60 LPA in CSE and 42.26 LPA in ECE, and the minimum package is 8 LPA. 70% of students get internships, while the remaining 30% complete an in-house internship, which is compulsory. Top recruiting companies are KPMG, Infosys, TCS, American Express, Cisco, GE Digital, ZS, Network 18, Media.net, Forcepoint, etc. Top roles offered are SDE (Software Development Engineer), data analyst, consulting, and product manager.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, like fully AC classrooms, computer labs with good specs, and ECE labs. The college provides its internet, which is usually fine, but sometimes it doesn't work. In the hostel, Wi-Fi doesn't work, but internet is provided through LAN cable, which most of the time provides high-speed internet. Our college has a library and a reading room, but they are just 2 normally spaced rooms. The library mostly has books related to courses. The mess and canteen provided in the hostel are of a decent level. A doctor is there in the hostel every day. Sports are not played much.
Faculty: Overall, the faculty members are good, but they are of every type, some are good, some are bad, and some are average. Many have good knowledge in their fields. The curriculum is designed for the needs of the present times, but some subjects don't have good enough teachers to teach them, so it becomes irrelevant in the HCI course. Semesters are fairly tough, and you can't pass without studying. The passing percentage is 80%.
Other: The college organizes events and fests, such as Tantrafeista (Technical Fest), Abhivyakti (Cultural Fest), and Kshitij (Sports Fest). The college does not offer scholarships, but it only facilitates central and state government scholarships. The campus is surrounded by a green village.

This college is good for bookworms but not good for all-rounder students

As far as the curriculum is concerned, it is very heavy and requires determination, not just attending lectures. Self-study is surely required as the semester exams are difficult for all.
Other: Since my childhood, I have had much interest in the teaching field, and after seeing the boom of AI and ML in the modern era, I chose this branch. I think that data-related subjects are also added in this course so students can get an idea of how to handle data. Not many events happen in college, only four events occur per year.

Review of IIIT Nagpur - Indian Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: About 80% of students usually get placed in my college, with about 50-90 LPA being the highest package, varying because of demands and requirements. The average package generally stands at about 13-14 LPA, whereas the lowest can go down to 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are NVIDIA, SMS DataTech, Google, etc. Our college is excellent in providing internships. About 95% of students generally get internships if they maintain their CGPA. The highest stipend: 150,000 Rs The lowest stipend: 15,000 Rs Mostly software developers, full-stack developers, and back-end developers roles are preferred according to today's industry level.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not at all good, since it is a newly built campus. The campus is under construction, due to which you won't find that good facilities. Wi-Fi facilities are not that good. The internet speed is below average, about 20-50 Mbps. However, LAN connection provides speed of about 100 Mbps, which is quite helpful. Classrooms are well air-conditioned, and even libraries. Libraries have mostly all required books in a good amount. Hostel facilities are quite okay. However, they have not provided that good furniture, as we have only 1 bed, 1 chair-table, and a half almirah. If we talk about the quality of food, it is as usual as other colleges, i.e., not that good. However, snacks are pretty good sometimes. The sports facility is again not that good because it is a newly built campus. But yes, a ground is getting constructed, and hopefully in 2-3 months, i.e., in Feb 2025, it will be constructed, so we can assume it to be good soon.
Faculty: Faculty members for core subjects like Electronics and Electrical are below average for the 1st semester. They are not that good, but other teachers and pros are good and up to the mark. There are six subjects in the 1st semester, and out of which 4 are irrelevant, but it's very obvious in the 1st semester. As talking to seniors is, of course, quite updated and is ready for industry level after the 2nd year and onwards. There are three exams per semester, i.e., Sessional 1 (15 marks). Sessional 2 (15 marks) End Sem (50/60 marks depending on the subject) Exams are not that tough, but yes, you need to pay attention in math class because everything else can be studied from YouTube. About 40% of marks are required to pass.
Other: I am studying CSE at IIIT Nagpur, and I chose this course because I know I can jump to any specialization as soon as I want. However, college timings are really up for CSE, but hopefully worth it. Talking about Fests: There are three major fests Abhivyakti (Cultural Fest) Tantra Fiesta (Technical Fest) Kshitiz (Sports Fest) and E-Summit as well Fests are quite good, and a knowledgeable amount of students come from different colleges, and we get to know a lot of new things (especially in Tantra Fiesta). Our college is far away from the city, Nagpur. It is about 25 km away from Nagpur, due to which connectivity is a big issue. Scholarships are being provided by colleges. Scholarships such as state-funded and central-funded are present in our college, which provide about 2.2 lacs per year.

Your EWS rank of 4,663 is strong for CSE at IIIT Nagpur—within recent Round 1 closing range (3,432–4,414). You stand a very good chance of admission. Participate in JoSAA/CSAB counseling, lock IIIT Nagpur CSE under EWS quota in your preference list, and confirm your seat when allocated.
