STEP 1: IIIT Nagpur BTech Application Process
Visit the official website of IIIT Nagpur. Select the programme you wish to apply for. Click on the Online Admission Portal Link and register with all the required details and upload relevant documents. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
STEP 2: Release of Cutoff List
After the JEE entrance exam is conducted successfully, the cutoff list is released to declare the minimum qualifying marks required for selection. The cutoff marks vary for each of the BTech specialisations in IIIT Nagpur.
STEP 3: Counselling
Candidates who meet the minimum cutoff have to take part in the JoSAA counselling. For each round of counselling, a separate cutoff list is released. It is carried out until all the seats are filled. Further, if the seats are left vacant after these rounds of counselling, then those are filled through CSAB counselling.
STEP 4: Reporting for Admission
Selected candidates can report at the institute in two ways, online reporting and physical reporting. Yes, a student can apply for change of branch of BTech programme in IIIT Nagpur but only after completing the first year. The branch change is granted strictly in order of merit. No swap or mutual exchange of students is allowed. Only the students who have attained CGPA score of 8.5 and have not received W or FF grade are eligible to apply for change in branch.
The change in branch is subject to the limitation that the actual number of students in the 3rd semester should not exceed the sanctioned strength of that particular course and the strength of the course from which the transfer is made does not fall below 90% of the existing strength.
