PhD applications at IIIT Nagpur can be filled in online mode with all the relevant documents attached and a separate hard copy of the same application filled online must be sent by post as a backup. • NOC from the current employer
• Experience/ service certificate for all the previous employments (in period of five years)

Candidates, to be eligible, must write GATE exam. However, for final selection, the institute conductes a college-level entrance and also conducts a Personal Interview round to shortlist students. In addition to this, candidates must have also completed their master's degree in Engineering/ Technology along with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology with 60% aggregate.
