IIIT Vadodara was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in 2013. The college has also recognised as an “Institute of National Importance." Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Vadodara offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The courses provided by IIIT Vadodara include BTech, MTech and PhD. Total duration of these programmes range between two to four years. Each course has its eligibility criteria for admissions. Moreover, the entrance exams accepted include JEE Main/ UGC-NET/ CSIR NET/ GATE. IIIT Vadodara accepts JEE Main ranks for admission to the courses. As per the IIIT Vadodara cutoff 2025, the last round closing ranks ranged from 36583 to 79729 for various B.Tech specialisationsn for the General AI category.

Among all the B.Tech branches, BTech CSE emerged as the toughest specialisation to get admitted to, with 36583 as the last round cutoff rank. Hence, students who belong to this category need to attain a rank of at least 79729 to be eligible for admission.

To qualify for Master of Computer Applications (MCA), at IIIT Vadodara 2025, students would need to qualify for the NIMCET cutoff 2025. This year, for the General AI category candidates, the cutoff ranged from 934 to 1084. So if you are aiming for a seat at this institution, a rank above 1000 would make your chances better. Please keep in mind that the above data is only for the General, ALL India quota and that other categories' cutoff ranks will vary accordingly.

This year, the B.Tech cutoff 2025 ranged from 36583 to 64458 for the General AI category candidates. B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, which is the most competitive course offered by IIIT Vadodara, stands at 36583, as the last round closing rank. IIIT Vadodara cutoff 2025 has been released across various specialisations in opening and closing ranks. IIIT Vadodara BTech cutoff 2025 ranged between, 21060 and 39003 for the General AI category candidates, wherein BTech in CSE is the most competitive course. The easiest BTech specialisation to secure admission is B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The IIIT Vadodara CSE average package has not been released yet. During 2024 placements, the IIIT Vadodara average package for BTech stood at INR 11.34 LPA. In 2022, the average package was comparatively lesser and the amount stood at INR 15.43 LPA. From 2022 to 2024, a fluctuating trend was observed in the BTech average package. Yes,IIIT Vadodara offers a PhD programme. The institute offers the course under four specialisations namely Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Physics and English. Students will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE/ CSIR/ UGC-NET/ PhD Entrance Exam + Interview for IIIT Vadodara PhD admission. Students can visit the official website of the institute for further details.

Candidates need to qualify for JEE Main and GATE for admission to BTech and M.Tech courses, respectively. For admission to PhD, candidates need to qualify PhD entrance test or UGC-NET/ CSIR NET/ GATE followed by an interview. Also, the candidates have to keep the minimum eligibility criteria in mind and make sure they have 75% in class 12 for admission to the BTech programme and 60% in graduation for admission to the M.Tech programme at IIIT Vadodara.

The GATE cutoff 2025 for IIIT Vadodara has been released for various categories for admissions to different M.Tech specialisations. The cutoff score ranged from 415 to 443 for students belonging to the General category, All India quota. This is the cutoff for the last round; other rounds will have different cutoffs accordingly. This year, the most difficult M.Tech specialisation proved to be M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence), with a cutoff score ranging from 443 to 539. Therefore, students aiming for a seat should strive for a score above 400 to improve their chances of admission. 

IIIT Vadodara accepts the GATE score for admissions to various  M.Tech specialisations, followed by the CCMT counselling process. IIIT Vadodara GATE cutoff 2025 is out, and as per the last round, the closing score fell between 360 and 404 for students belonging to the OBC AI quota and for round 1, the cutoff range was from 448 to 477.

Therefore, considering both rounds, students should aim for a score of at least 360 or higher to qualify for admission at IIIT Vadodara.

JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per IIIT Vadodara JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 23671 for General category candidates in All India quota for Information Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 30854 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
