IIM Nagpur Admission Overview 2027
IIM Nagpur Admissions are entrance based. It provides PG, executive, and doctoral program to the students. MBA is the flagship programme of IIM Nagpur, which is divided into eight specializations. Students have to qualify for the CAT entrance to take admission. Below are the details of IIM Nagpur Admissions:
- IIM Nagpur MBA Admission: MBA admissions are based on the CAT exam. Final marks will be calculated with the weightage, CAT score - 45%, Personal Interview (PI) - 25%, Academic score - 6%, Work experience - 9%, Academic diversity - 5% and Gender diversity - 10%
- Executive MBA Admission: Executive MBA also known as hybrid MBA is based on Screening Examination. Selected candidates will have to undergo Personal Interview round. Selection criteria will be Screening Examination, past academics, and PI round.
- IIM Nagpur Application Mode: Application for MBA or executive mba course will be submitted through online portal only.
- IIM Nagpur Entrance Exam: IIM Nagpur offers admission to the MBA executive programme through its own screening examination IIMNAT. It is an online examination of 90 minutes for the executive courses only.

Candidates seeking admission to IIM Nagpur must ensure that they are eligible for the preferred course. IIM Nagpur admission is offered through CAT. Further, the candidates have to go through GD, WAT, and PI for the final selection. After completion of the selection rounds, a category-wise merit list is released based on the Final Composite Score. Step 1: IIM Nagpur Application Procedure
The applicants who will take part in the CAT examination will be screened by the institute's CAT cut-off marks. The applicants who qualify the CAT cut-off for IIM Nagpur will be intimated through an email and then asked to fill the IIM Nagpur application form. - Click 'new registration' and enter the mandatory details to get your login credentials.
- Log-in using the ID you received via email to fill your application form.

Step 2: IIM Nagpur Selection Process
Applicants who qualify the CAT cut-off and have applied for IIM Nagpur using the application form will go forward to the next process which is shortlisting. A shortlisting score will be allotted to all those applicants who qualify the criteria stated above, and then a list will be created from the shortlisted candidates. Then, the shortlisted candidates will be informed about the further procedure, which is Personal Interview (PI).
Step 3: IIM Nagpur Admission Procedure
Selected applicants will be called for PI round. This stage will determine the Final Score for all the applicants, based on which applicants will be shortlisted, as per merit list in the final score. Upon selection, the students will pay the IIM Nagpur fee to complete their admission process.
Step 4: Document Verification
Document verification is conducted in two phases, online and offline. The first occurs when students are filling out the registration form, and the second takes place after completing the admission process. Students need to submit the following documents:
- Attested copy of Class 10 & Class 12 mark sheets & certificates
- Attested copy of bachelor's degree certificate & mark sheet
- Attested copy of master's degree certificate & mark sheet

The modes of IIM Nagpur course admissions are online and offline. Candidates willing to get admission to various programmes must apply online on the official website of IIM Nagpur. At the postgraduate level, the college offers a two-year MBA (overseas and domestic) programmes to students. The college also provides Executive MBA, PhD, Executive PhD, and various other courses to students. The popular programme provided by the college is MBA.
At the postgraduate level, IIM Nagpur offers MBA and other courses to students. The total fee for MBA is INR 21 lakh. This is the tuition fee for MBA and not the total fee. The total fee also includes transportation charges, hostel charges, and various other charges. It is a government college therefore the fee is not very high. Even if the students find the fee high, they can apply for the scholarships provided by the college. The accepted entrance exam for admission to MBA is CAT. CAT 2023 registration is currently ongoing for the upcoming exam in November.
