Placements: About 54% of students in my course get internships in foreign universities. Among them, 50% are already placed, while others are pursuing Ph.D. and post-doctorate studies. This college focuses more on research. The highest package here is about 46 LPA and the lowest is Rs.37,000 per annum, which a Ph.D. student receives as a stipend for doing projects under professors.

Placements: If you want placements, IISER isn't the right choice. It is for building a student for further research, mostly doing a Ph.D. Some students might opt for jobs in education. Chemistry students might look for a job in a pharma company but that's not the college's responsibility. Do not come to IISER hoping for good placements. You'll land yourself in a nice Ph.D. course if you study sincerely.

Therefore there is no placement after BSMS degrees. There is no campus placement either. However, with PhD and post-doc fellows end up as research scientists or professors in good institutions.

This institute is for research. After this course, you can opt for any research center in the world.
