IIT Guwahati is very strict when it comes to the eligibility requirements of B.Tech. in Civil Engineering. The candidate must have a minimum CPI of 6.0 or 60% of marks in their Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in an appropriate area. Additionally, the candidates with B.Tech./B.E. Degree in Agriculture Engineering are eligible for admission to this specialization and a maximum of 4 seats only are allotted to such candidates. The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
