IIT Guwahati Cutoff 2026: JEE Advanced Previous Years Closing Rank

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. IIT Guwahati cutoff 2024 was released upto five rounds, wherein, B.Tech. in Biosciences and Bioengineering Last Round was, 9178 for General category candidates at IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 17156 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Considering the Last Round rank for General AI category, it can be observed that BTech in Biosciences and Bioengineering had shown a fluctuating trend over the past three years.

Qualifying marks for JEE Mains 2026, also called qualifying percentile for JEE Mains will be announced by the NTA along with the JEE Main 2026 session 2 result. Candidates must note that qualifying percentile for JEE Mains 2026 is the minimum percentile required to appear in JEE Advanced 2026. For admission to NIT or IIITs, there is no provision of qualifying marks in JEE Mains 2026 and admission is given based on All India Rank in JEE Mains exam. IIT Guwahati JAM Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. The most competitive course as per the Cutoff was M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing, for the General AI category candidates, with the Cutoff of 75. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff for M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing stood at 148.

If not eligible for IIT Guwahati, candidates can opt for IIT Dhanbad with the linient cutoff of 401 or IIT Bhilai with a Cutoff of 511, for M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing for the General AI category candidates. 

IIT Guwahati cutoff 2024 has been released across various specialisations in the form of opening and closing ranks. IIT Guwahati MSc cutoff 2024 ranged between, 75 and 310 for the General AI category candidates, wherein, the top courses with the highest ranks needed were MSc in Mathematics and Computing (75), MSc in Mathematics (193), and MSc in Chemistry (267). IIT Guwahati B.Des cutoff 2024 has been released for UCEED. As per the round 2 cutoff, the closing rank for B.Des was 76 for the General AII India category students. So, considering the 2023 cutoff, candidates must secure a rank between 70 to 90 to get into IIT Guwahati for B.Des admission.

As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.

Candidates aiming for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) need to meet these cutoff marks in JEE Mains to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.

Admission to M.Tech at IITG is entirely based on GATE score. Candidates with a GATE rank between 600 and 800 and a score between 400 and 800 will have a good chance for getting admitted in an MTech course at IITG. To be considered for admission to UCEED 2025 participating institutes, the candidates need to meet the following conditions simultaneously: 

1. Age limit - The candidate needs to be born on or after October 1, 1999. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of five years. 
2. UCEED 2025 qualification - The candidate must have qualified in the UCEED 2025 entrance exam and must have been allocated a merit rank.
3. Qualifying examination - The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) in 2023 or should be appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2025.
