Great experience overall, with supportive teachers and a lively campus.

Faculty: Most of the professors in civil are really qualified and quite helpful if you reach out, though, like anywhere, some classes feel more engaging than others. The curriculum itself is solid and covers the basics well, but to be honest, if you really want to feel industry ready, you need to back it up with internships or extra skills outside the classroom. Semester exams are usually on the tougher, concept based side, but they are not impossible. If you study regularly, you can manage fine, and alm...

IIT Guwahati is an awesome college.

Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. All of them are PhD holders. The course curriculum is relevant to industry needs. Besides, one has to prepare themselves too. Each semester has 2 exams, mid-term and end-term. One needs to have at least 35% in order to pass the course.

It is a nice place with good vibes and makes memories to always be remembered.

Faculty: Faculty members are genuinely always helpful, and we just need to approach them well. They are mostly always open to help. Courses are surely relevant after the renewal of the syllabus, and more relevance will be achieved by this year. Making industry-ready is something the students also must focus on and gather their skills to stand out to the public.

It's not just a college but second home.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and always open to any kind of issues. The frequency of exams is manageable. The difficulty of exam is dependent on the course instructor. Some are really strict but mostly are good. They connect real-life problems with the subject which makes students focus more.

The campus is peaceful serene and beautiful.

Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is proper as it should be in a college. I personally like Debraj Roy sir since he is very fun-loving and at the same time explains Maths as if it might be the easiest subject in our course. I can't recall any of the faculty members whom I might not like. There are 4 internal exams CA1, CA2, CA3, & CA4, and a semester exam at the end (IT A Makaut Affiliated College).

The faculty is good, the environment and campus are beautiful, and seniors are great.

Faculty: Most teachers are helpful, very qualified in their specialties, and knowledgeable in every aspect. There is a slight language barrier between teachers, professors, and faculty members due to different accents. The course curriculum is very relevant, and all data is shared at the start of the tenure.

IITG Civil: Great for core careers, need self-learning for industry skills.

Faculty: The civil engineering program at IIT Guwahati has strong faculty with PhDs from top institutes, though teaching quality varies. Some professors explain concepts well while others expect more self-study. The curriculum covers all core subjects thoroughly but feels slightly outdated for industry needs, so students often learn modern software and practical skills through internships or online courses. Exams are challenging but manageable, with most students passing easily. Scoring above 8 CGPA requ...

It is one of the finest campuses. It has satisfactory placements.

Faculty: Faculty members of our department are mostly chill and give good grades irrespective of our attendance. Some teachers are strict in case of attendance but do not fail anybody for having less attendance. Courses are very interesting and the labs too. We can pass exams with good grades if we attend classes daily.

The best B. Teach college in all IIT.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They have studied at IITs and foreign universities. The course is relevant for engineering and someone interested in Chemistry. The semester exams are difficult and competitive. The pass percentage is a minimum of 40%. They are also very well qualified. The exam structure is made so that there is not too much weightage on the end-semester. The marks are distributed well throughout the semester, and the grading is a little bad for a few courses.
