The overall campus of IIT Indore is safe with strict security for both girls and boys. IITI is well-known for its annual student initiatives and events. Hostel life at IIT Indore is one of the best in all the ITIs. Newly constructed hostel building in the permanent campus has a great infrastructure. Currently, the institute has six hostels out of which one is for female students and the other for married students. The hostel life is vibrant with 574 rooms each in 6 hostels.
