IIT Indore Course Admissions 2024: Dates, Eligibility, Fee & Selection Criteria

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore provides 40+ undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level courses which include BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD. To secure admission in IIT Indore for B.Tech programs, candidates need to fulfill the following criteria:

Candidates should have successfully completed class 12 in the Science stream with a minimum of 75% marks. For SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 is required. Alternatively, candidates who rank in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 board examinations are also eligible to apply for BTech admission at IIT Indore.

To apply for admission to the BTech course at IIT Indore, candidates must visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and fill out the application form in online mode for JEE Main. For other courses such as MSc, MTech, BTech etc., candidates must visit the official website of respective national-level entrance exam conducting bodies and fill out the application form in online mode. Yes, IIT Indore offers a four-year BTech programme under nine specialisations including Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Space Sciences and Engineering. To be eligible for the programme the aspiring candidates need class 12 with 75%. To get admission in IIT Indore BTech course, candidates have to fill the online application form and check the eligibility criteria of each course before filling the form. Candidates seeking admission need to take JEE Main exam and then JEE Advanced.

No, IIT Indore BTech admission is strictly entrance based. Admission to IIT Indore BTech is allotted on the basis of candidates' performance in JEE Main exam, candidates who qualify IIT Indore JEE Main cutoff are then required to appear for JEE Advance followed by  the counselling round conducted by JoSAA. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced. Yes, IIT Indore provides an integrated BTech programme, the programme is designed to give a thorough understanding of the chosen field and the skills necessary to succeed as engineers. IIT Indore offers a five-year Integrated programme, combining BTech and M.Tech degrees, with eligibility and selection criteria identical to those for the BTech programme. Admission to IIT Dhanbad is based on performance in the JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exams, followed by JoSAA counseling.

Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech at the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore must have passed a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (4-year course) or must have completed their master's degree in Science with marks not below the specified minimum. A relaxation of 5% aggregate or 0.5 CPI is offered to SC/ST/PwD category candidates on the minimum eligibility score.
