Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore offers UG, PG, and Doctoral level courses, namely BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD through three departments of the institute:

No, candidates cannot join IIT Indore without taking an entrance exam. Admission to UG/PG courses at IIT Indore is based on national level entrance exams such as JEE MAIN, JEE Advanced, GATE. IIT Indore JEE Advanced Cutoff was released based on the category and gender. For the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks ranged between 1389 and 10894. To get BTech in CSE, the General AI category candidates must have secured a minimum cutoff rank of 1389. For the General AI female candidates, the minimum JEE Advanced rank to get CSE was 4698. For the OBC AI category, the cutoff rank for CSE closed at 649.
Therefore, a General AI candidate cannot secure a seat in CSE with the cutoff rank of 2000. However, the Cutoff rank to secure the course would depend on the category and gender.

IIT Indore course admission is done through various national-level entrance exams. While merit is the basic eligibility for all the IIT Indore courses, admission to each one of them is entrance exam-based. Detailed Application Process for BTech
In order to apply for BTech IIT Indore, students are required to apply via JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced application. The process of application for JEE Main 2025 consists of three steps, i.e., registration, form filling & document uploading, followed by payment of application fees.
- Visit the official website of IIT Indore (iitg.ac.in). On its homepage, click on the ‘Admission’ tab and choose ‘PG’ from the drop-down menu.
- Click on ‘Application Procedure’ to proceed further. The online application portal opens up. The admission brochure and course structure PDFs can be downloaded from this page.
- Click on ‘New User Register Here'. Fill out the registration form with all the details, including name, email ID, contact number, course preference, etc. Also, create an alpha-numeric password for future logins.
- Further, fill in the remaining application form by addressing other details, including guardian info, address of communication, etc. Also, upload a passport-size photograph and signature at this step.
- Pay an application fee in the online mode through the SBI payment gateway using a debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
- Proceed with the second-last step of the application form by filling in the entrance exam, work experience (if any), reference & publications (for PhD applicants), and academic details.
- Conclude the application process by approving the self-declaration and hitting the ‘Submit’ button. Candidates can also download and print the application form for future reference.

Section 5: Environmental Engineering Water and Waste Water Quality and Treatment: Basics of water quality standards Physical, chemical and biological parameters; Water quality index, etc. Air Pollution: Types of pollutants, their sources and impacts, air pollution control, air quality standards, etc. Municipal Solid Wastes: Characteristics, generation, collection and transportation of solid wastes, etc.
Section 6: Transportation Engineering Transportation Infrastructure: Geometric design of highways, etc. Geometric design of railway Track Speed and Cant. Yes, it is possible to get admission to IIT Indore for MSc in Mathematics with a rank of 250 in IIT JAM for candidates belonging to the General AI category.
