IIT Indore is a decade-old IIT that generally ranks among the top 16 Engineering institutes in NIRF. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Also, during IIT Indore placements 2022, the highest package (domestic and international) offered was INR 56 LPA and INR 73.90 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters of IIT Indore include Samsung, Oracle, Flipkart, Bosch Hero, TATA Steel, L & T, BAJAJ, Deloitte, PwC, Samsung, Walmart, etc.

IIT Indore JAM Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. The most competitive course was M.Sc in Biotechnology with the Cutoff rank of 64. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff for M.Sc in Biotechnology closed at 135.

If the Cutoff rank is more than 64, for the General AI category candidates, there is no scope for admission to IITs for M.Sc in Biotechnology.   

As per IIT Indore cut off 2023 for JAM 2023 Fourth Admission List, the opening and closing ranks for MSc Biotechnology are 29 and 39, respectively. Also, for MSc Astronomy, the opening and closing ranks stood at 216 and 495, respectively. Tabulated below are IIT JAM 2023 Opening Ranks (ORs) and Closing Ranks (CRs) for various MSc specialisations offered by IIT Indore: 

The cut off rank in Round 6 for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering is 7474 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission at IIT Indore - Indian Institute of Technology.

The overall campus of IIT Indore is safe with strict security for both girls and boys. IITI is well-known for its annual student initiatives and events. Hostel life at IIT Indore is one of the best in all the ITIs. Newly constructed hostel building in the permanent campus has a great infrastructure. Currently, the institute has six hostels out of which one is for female students and the other for married students. The hostel life is vibrant with 574 rooms each in 6 hostels. IITI also provides extracurricular activities with various clubs, fests, events and competitions. 

The IIT Indore highest package placements for 2022 was INR 56 LPA whereas the highest package - IIT Hyderabad placements - 2022 was INR 65 LPA. The average package IIT Indore was INR 23.50 whereas at IIT Hyderabad, the average package was INR 20.46. Acc. to the NIRF ranking-2023 under the Eng category, IIT Indore has been ranked 14 whereas IIT Hyderabad has been ranked 8. From the above statistics, we can say that both institutes is almost the same in terms of placement.
