Admission to IIT Tirupati is granted based on valid entrance scores. Therefore, candidates must secure valid scores in the accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ GATE or equivalent. Apart from this, candidates must secure minimum aggregate of 75% Class 12 and 50% in graduation, depending on level of course opted. 

To apply for any course, candidates must fill out the application form of the respective examination from its official website. Furthermore, candidates must sign up for the counselling process. After a successful qualification of the examination, candidates must fill out the application form for IIT Tirupati admission process via the official website of the institute.

Candidates can check and download the JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard under their respective login on jeeadv. ac. in. To Download JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard, candidates have to use 7-digit roll number, date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, and the 10-digit phone number that they used while registering for JEE (Advanced).

Also, category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the JEE Advanced 2026 online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers.

Only those candidates who will secure minimum marks in JEE Advanced 2026, as prescribed by the IITs will be included in the AIR list for JoSAA counselling and IIT admissions. Allotment of seats will be solely based on the category-wise All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2026.

IIT Tirupati library timing is 9 am to 12 am from Monday to Friday. During Saturday & semester breaks, the timings are from 9 am to 7 pm. On Sunday & public holidays, it is 9 am to 5 pm.

According to students of BTech Chemical Engineering (batch of 2025), placements for the Chemical branch was not that high. Further, the lowest and the highest package offered during IIT Tirupati Chemical Engineering placements in 2023 stood at INR 5 LPA and INR 40 LPA, respectively. Further, as per the CSE student review, the average package offered during IIT Tirupati placements is around INR 9 LPA. Some students are also of the view that IIT Tirupati is not great in terms of placements but good for higher studies.
