IMT Ghaziabad - Institute of Management Technology is the best tier 2 college.

Placements: Roles like risk manager, investment banker and a lot of sales roles are offered to students in our college. Companies like DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Macquarie and BlackRock visit our college for placements. Our college provides very good exposure to case competitions which help to start up new companies.

Infrastructure: Everything which you need like badminton court, basketball court, lawn tennis, gym, air-conditioned rooms and mess are available in our college. House-keeping service is also very good. The best place in our college is the library. Moreover, the campus is lush green.

Faculty: The course curriculum is perfectly designed as per the industry requirements. A lot of industry experts regularly visit our college and update students with recent trends. They also guide students on how to adapt to the rapidly changing industry technologies.

It has a really good infrastructure, and the student council is very helpful.

Placements: There are 100% placements in finance in our course. The average salary package offered here is 15.3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are BlackRock, Deloitte, Bank of America, RBS, Goldman Sachs, DE Shaw, etc. Almost 100% internships are provided in companies like BlackRock, Birla, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Silverdale, Macquarie Group, RBS, DE Shaw and Goldman Sachs. Our college has good placements for finance in 2020 batch.

Infrastructure: The library provides huge access and memberships for researches like CRISIL Research, ACE, EMIS, ET Intelligence, Euromonitor, HBR, HBR Ascend, Financial Times, EBSCO, SAGE, WARC, Statista, etc. Our college provides 24x7 ambulance service, along with one in-house doctor. Our college provides Wi-Fi access in the entire day. There is a Bloomberg terminal lab.

Faculty: Faculty members here are mostly top tier IIM graduates and also knowledgeable. A lot of visiting lecturers here are from IIM C, IIML, MDI, FMS, IMT, etc. The teaching quality of the teachers is mostly very good. Critical Thinking
Shortlisted candidates will be called for critical thinking test based on score obtained in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT. Candidates will be evaluated on two parameters – critical thinking and written communication skills.
Group Exercise
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Exercise. Candidates will be formed into small groups and will perform a Group Exercise. The group will be given a problem to solve or a task to perform, which they must do together with discussion among group members. Candidates will be evaluated on five parameters – contribution of ideas, leadership potential, interpersonal skills, innovation & creativity and communication & attitude.
Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates will have a personal interview of approximately 15 minutes, during which he/she will be evaluated on four parameters: academic orientation, communication skills, versatility (extra-curricular activities / general awareness), as well as values & maturity. Candidates with work experience will be additionally evaluated on the relevance of their work experience in relation to the PGDM program.
Final Selection
Candidates will be selected based on a cumulative weighted average which has the Academic Scores, Work Experience and the scores obtained during the CT-GE-PI process. Parameters are as follows: Test score Percentile (best score in CAT/XAT/GMAT): 35% Academic score & Quality of graduating institute/university/college: 35% Work experience (duration & quality): 10% Performance in Personal Interview: 20%

As per the admission criteria of IMT Ghaziabad. The test scores of CAT, XAT and GMAT are only acceptable at IMT Ghaziabad. Hence, your CMAT score is not applicable here.

First, get some clarity about what you kind of a job you want after 2 years. Finance jobs might be more difficult (and as a course, finance is not something you can breeze through) but they pay very well! Marketing or Product jobs are extremely interesting & creative though they pay slightly less on
