As a final year student I have enough experience in my college.
Placements: Our college is very much aware of its students' future and always tries to help us with various internship opportunities. The starting packages are from 5 LPA to 7 LPA. There are so many exams before the interview session prepared by the college to perform well in interviews.
Infrastructure: Our fashion labs are famous around here. Our department is always trying to improve the labs and always equips more machines and fabrics, looms to give us the best practice environment as our course mostly relies upon practical improvement.
Faculty: Our teachers most of them passed out from top indian universities and our HOD ma'am is a very kind-hearted professor and always says to us how to improve our abilities to understand real-world fashion trends and textile architecture. Also she conducts many remedial classes if we miss class for any reason.

A great college that helps students enter the industry.
Placements: IIFD Academy is known for fashion and interiors. Big companies and top brands come to our college to recruit students based on their merit and portfolio. The average salary offers range from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000 but it mainly depends on the portfolio and the work of the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is amazing. It is fully ventilated and there are no books. The hostel facilities are also good. IIFD has teamed up with a PG for students in Chandigarh or nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are highly experienced and know their fields very well. We are taught all the Adobe software plus other needed software in depth. This makes the students industry-ready. We have end-semester exams which are good. We also have a jury every semester where we have to present all the work in our portfolio. All the teachers are very cooperative. Everything is taught practically.

Great college with a great placement cell.
Placements: I am a student in this university overall 85 percent of students got placed in our university. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA-6 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA-10 LPA. Many students got internship in this course and companies like Satya Paul, Mark Spencer, Red Dress, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in our college. All classrooms are well-equipped, well-decorated, and have full labs connected. There is high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity and our library is good. Our hostel is cleaned everyday. Mess is available and we also have a canteen and food court. Our university organises fashion shows and workshops every year for students' real-time experience.
Faculty: Our department members are really very helpful. They are always ready for us and provide all facilities. Our teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. The semester exams are very challenging but fair. Almost 90 percent of students pass.

Very good college for designing.
Placements: The placement is very good in this college for the courses. They provide very good placement opportunities. The highest package is almost 10 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top companies include Disney, Marks & Spencer, etc. Almost every student gets an internship during the program.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. They provide all facilities that are important for students and staff. Almost every facility is available. Wi-Fi is very good, and we can easily connect throughout the campus. There is only a girls’ hostel and no boys’ hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good at our college. They are very friendly and help us a lot. Their teaching quality is good. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. They make the course curriculum very good. Exams are medium to tough depending on updates.

Placements: 30 percent of students are placed in various companies from our college. Some students go outside for higher studies, and a few start their own businesses. The salary packages range from 1 LPA to 3 LPA. Internships are available for final-year students but are of decent quality.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. Wi-Fi connections are available for students but are limited. Classrooms and labs are well maintained. Projectors are available in every classroom. Other facilities like hostels, mess, canteen, sports, and games are also available.
Faculty: Our teachers are really qualified, knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. Semester exams are tough, but teachers help us with preparation. Sometimes they conduct monthly exams as preparation. Just follow their guidelines, and then everyone gets good results.

The best opportunity to enter the fashion industry is through IIFD.
Placements: This college is one of the best for designing courses. There are strong placement alumni who coordinated with the students for their placement. The average package offered at the college is between 5 LPA-6 LPA. Companies like Marks & Spencer, Satya Paul, The Textile Association (India), Redress, etc., are recruiting.
Infrastructure: IIFD Chandigarh has a good infrastructure for textile design. There are proper labs with all types of necessary machines for the students' hands-on practice. At the college all kinds of facilities are available for the students. The college has developed labs, a library, Wi-Fi, etc., facilities for the students. A hostel is also provided only for the girls' students not for the boys.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is really supportive and helpful to the students. Teachers are experienced in the field of design. All the teachers at the college are qualified and knowledgeable. They are giving good quality teaching to the students. The exams at the college are not hard to pass.

Strong placements and practical learning at IIFD Chandigarh.
Placements: Currently in Adv. Diploma Fashion Design batch 2025-27 and already seeing batchmates landing jobs and internships, which feels great. The college actively supports students with industry connections throughout the course. Personally, I chose to focus on an internship after course completion, but options are clearly available early, too.
Infrastructure: Campus infrastructure is genuinely good - AC classrooms, updated fashion labs, modern machines and a good library make daily learning comfortable. Wi-Fi work fine mostly. No boys' hostel, but 2 girls' hostels. Both the Chandigarh and Mohali branches are easily reachable by local buses and autos. Facilities are well-maintained overall.
Faculty: Faculty brings real industry experience into every class, which makes a huge difference. Workshops are a highlight recently attended a 2-day Vast Shastra workshop, which was genuinely eye-opening. Exams can get tough sometimes, from personal experience, but that pushes you to prepare better.
Other: What genuinely surprised me is that this college only teaches design, no B.A. Commerce or unrelated courses.

Worth every bit of the investment.
Placements: Still in mid-term of Adv. I have a Diploma in Fashion Design, but seeing friends get jobs and internships by January gave me confidence. 95% student placement records speak for themselves. The college really pushes for industry connections. It is not just marketing, and the college support is genuine.
Infrastructure: The college has good facilities overall. AC classrooms with fashion labs, working Wi-Fi with very occasional issues. The library is updated. There is a girls' hostel on campus, no boys' hostel, but affordable PGs nearby for boys. The food quality is good, and medical and sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are excellent, but a few are decent. All have industry backgrounds. The curriculum is relevant and makes you industry-ready with practical skills. Exams can get tough, but that's expected. Teaching quality is good, occasionally varying from teacher to teacher.
Other: Merit scholarships and a design-focused college made IIFD my choice. Practical learning is the best part. Campus events are frequent fashion shows, fests, and fresher parties. The only thing missing is a boys' hostel, it’s still spending.

At IIFD Chandigarh, UG programmes are offered with a minimum eligibility requirement of passing Class 12 in any stream form a recognised board of Education. Selection criteria is merit based for all programmes at IIFD Chandigarh with the institute accepting Class 12 scores for the same.
