IIM Trichy Admission Overview 2027
The flagship course of IIM Trichy is PGPM (MBA). IIM Tiruchirappalli admission to PGPM and PGPM HR is done basis CAT exam followed by performnace in WAT and PI rounds of JAP (Joint Admission Process). Final selection process is based on CAT score, PI & WAT Score, academic performance work experience and Gender & Academic diversity.
- Application Fee: INR 2,700 (General, EWS and NC-OBC) and INR 1,350 (SC, ST and PwD)
- Accepted Entrance Exam: CAT (for MBA) and GATE / GMAT / UGC JRF for PhD
- Scholarships: Students can avail scholarships up to INR 3 lakh under Director’s Merit Scholarship Scheme. Fee waiver up to 50% is also provided to financially deserving students.
- Total Fee: IIM Trichy fee of both the courses, i.e. PGPM and PGPM HR is INR 19.5 lakh. Further, caution deposit money (refundable) of INR 30,000 and mess charges of INR 1.44 lakh should also be paid separately. PGPBM total fee is INR 14.6 lakh.
- Cutoff: IIM Trichy cutoff 2025 in CAT exam was 94 as per external sources. The exact CAT percentile for the institute is not released and is accessible to registered students.

Candidates must also note that no other website hosts the CAT form other than iimcat.ac.in
There is no provision of paying CAT fees in cash, challan or Demand Draft either. The CAT registration fee can be paid online only through Internet banking, credit/debit cards or mobile wallets only. The payment window will be available in the candidate dashboard as part of the CAT application form. Candidates have to simply follow the instructions to pay the fee. Candidates must note that fee payment is mandatory for CAT form filling. Until the fee is paid successfully, the form will not be accepted. Thus, candidates must check the fee payment acknowledgement slip after making the payment.

IIM Trichy admission to PGPM and PGPM HR courses is done through CAT exam. For PGPBM, admission is done basis aptitude test and interview whereas for PhD, valid score of GATE / GMAT / UGC JRF is required.

Selection Rounds
For admission to the flagship PGPM course, candidates should appear for CAT, and shortlisted candidates’ will be called for further rounds of selection, which include personal interview, group discussion round and written ability test. For admission to IIM Trichy PhD courses, selection process involves appearing for entrance test such as GATE / GMAT / GRE / JRF followed by PI round.

IIM Trichy final admission for PGPM and PGPM HR are made basis various factors such as previous academic record, CAT score, WAT/PI score and more. Once admission offers are finalised, candidates should pay acceptance fee to get admission.
IIM Trichy Fee Refund Policy
Candidates have the option to cancel or withdraw admission before the registration date. Such candidates will be refunded the fee deposited by them after deduction of INR 1,000 as processing fee. Admission withdrawal process is online and can be done on the official website.
No fee will be refunded if candidates cancel admission on or after registration date. In that case, caution deposit and mess charges (on a pro-rata basis) will be refunded.

IIM Trichy selection process involves an initial screening based on CAT percentile, Personal Interview and Written Analysis Test. IIM Trichy offers an MBA / PGPM in a full-time mode. It is divided into 6 trimesters. Admission to MBA at IIM Trichy is through CAT exam. No, you cannot get direct admission in IIM Trichy. The applicant is selected on the basis of entrance exam scores and work experience (depending on the course). After considering these parameters, the student will be given a writing ability test followed by the interview process.
