IIMC Jammu offers a three PG Diploma courses. CUET PG is the accepted entrance exam for these courses. CUET PG is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates willing to pursue a PG Diploma at IIMC Jammu must apply and appear for the CUET-PG in “Mass Communication and Journalism (COQP17)” by visiting the official NTA website. After the entrance exam, aspirants must participate in the institute-level counselling, followed by the centralised IIMC registration process.
Admission process
Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements must take the Common Admission Test (CAT), which is given by the IIMs. As an alternative, candidates with qualifying scores from the GATE, GRE, GMAT JRF (UGC/CSIR), or UGC-NET exams may also apply in the suitable field of specialty. The results of any of these tests, including the CAT, conducted within the last three years (three years from the date of the standard test and expected to be valid at the time the application is submitted) will be accepted. International candidates, including NRIs and foreign nationals, are eligible to apply to the program.
Students are disqualified from the exam results and may apply directly if they have already finished a two-year, full-time PGP programme at an IIM within the last ten years with a minimum grade point comparable to 6.0 on a 10-point scale or similar (with no "F"s and no more than two "D"s in the first year of PGP). Applications for test exemption will not be accepted if candidates do not include copies of both sides of the grade sheet, which is required to determine whether the grading systems of other IIMs are equal.
