Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BVDU), also known as BVDU IHMCT, is a private institute and a constituent of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU). It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Currently, the Institute offers two UG programmes, namely BSc and BHMCT in the stream of Hotel Management. It has more than 20 assistant professors and lecturers. The Institute also conducts special events like guest lectures, workshops and industrial visits to provide students industry exposure.

Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, BVDU Admission 2021: BHMCT, BSc

At the UG level, the Institute offers two courses, namely BSc (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) and BHMCT. The duration of BHMCT is four years, whereas BSc is offered with a duration of three years. The Institute follows a choice based credit system (CBCS) for both the programmes. Both the programmes have individual credits, and candidates need to secure minimum credits to pass a particular semester or programme. Admission to both the programmes is entrance-based, and candidates are shortlisted based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam. Eligibility criteria for both the programmes along with the seat intake is given below:

The application process is conducted through the official website of BVDU. Candidates need to register and fill an application form for BVP CET to apply for any of the programmes. The application fee of BVP CET is Rs 1,200 for both the courses. Follow the below-mentioned steps for the complete BVDU IHMCT application process:

Step 1: Visit the official website of BVDU Pune, www.bvuniversity.edu.in.

Step 2: Click on “Apply Online for Admissions”.

Step 3: Choose a course and click on “Apply”.

Step 4: Fill the application form by entering personal and qualification details.

Step 5: Upload a passport size photograph and scanned signature.

Step 6: Submit the application form by paying the application fee online via debit/ credit cards or net banking.
