IMS BHU Placement Overview 2025
As per the Medical NIRF report 2025 released by BHU, the median package received during IMS BHU MBBS placements 2023 was INR 18 LPA. Out of 93 graduating students, 14 students were placed and 79 students opted for higher studies.
During the PG 3-year (MD/MS) placements 2024, 110 students were placed and 32 students were selected for higher studies out of 142 graduating students. The median package received during IMS BHU placements 2024 for PG 3-year was INR 22 LPA.
Earlier, as per BHU Overall NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during UG 5-year and PG 3-year placements 2023 stood at INR 16 LPA and INR 13.5 LPA, respectively. Earlier, according to BHU NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during BHU UG 5-year and PG 3-year placements 2022 stood at INR 15 LPA and INR 13.50 LPA, respectively. Earlier, the institute has released the NIRF report 2022. According to the NIRF report 2022, 10 MBBS students were placed during 2020 placements, whereas 128 students of PG courses were placed during 2021 placements. Further, the median package offered to MBBS students during 2020 placements was INR 14 LPA. The top recruiters of IMS BHU during the recent years include AIIMS, Fortis Healthcare, Apollo Hospitals, Max Hospitals, etc.

For last year, the closing rank for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) was 30353 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU.
The rank required to get admission to BAMS at Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU varies every year and is based on the NEET-UG entrance exam scores obtained by the candidates. The cutoff marks are the minimum marks required to be eligible for the next round of the selection process. The selection process includes counseling and seat allotment based on the candidate's rank in the NEET-UG entrance exam. The category-wise cutoff for BAMS in the NEET-UG percentile for the general category is 50th and for SC/ST/OBC it is 40th. The safest score for BHU should be 450+ and for UP government colleges, it should be approximately 400.
NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores.

The reservation policy for NEET counselling is as per the landmark judgement passed by the Supreme Court of India in 2021, here would be 27 per cent OBC quota in NEET (Non-Creamy Layer) and 10 per cent NEET reservation for EWS in 15 per cent Under Graduate (UG) All India Quota seats (MBBS/BDS) (contributed by the State/UTs to the Central Pool).
