Reality of IQ City Medical College and Hospital, Durgapur.
Placements: Placements and future opportunities are available from my college. Many students from the college performed well in competitive exams and went on to pursue PG. You can check the IQ City achievements page on Instagram, where students from my college have secured high ranks and opportunities in institutes like AIIMS and other reputed medical colleges in Kolkata and other states. Overall, IQ City Medical College is a good medical college, and you can definitely do your MBBS from here while getting a balanced academic and campus experience.
Infrastructure: As I am currently an MBBS student, my experience here has been fairly good. They provide basic exposure and infrastructure which are required during our MBBS curriculum. The gym available on campus is good, which is a plus for students who like to stay active. There are sports facilities as well, such as cricket and football, but some infrastructure could be improved, especially the basketball court, which needs fixing and maintenance. Hostels are good and well-maintained. Now, there are different hostels for different years, and they also take good care of students' complaints way better than before.
Faculty: The professors are overall good and supportive, and many faculty/tutors are caring towards students. Like in most medical colleges, a few professors are strict, especially regarding academics and discipline in the classroom. Curriculum is strictly followed as per NMC guidelines, and exams are conducted from time to time. The difficulty level is good for the WBUHS exam, which is conducted at the end of every year (proof exams). Don't worry, there are no additional fees or examination Charges like Sanaka and other private colleges in Bengal.
Other: Regarding campus culture, junior and senior interaction is generally non-toxic, which creates a comfortable environment. However, because different batches are located in different buildings, there isn't a lot of daily interaction between juniors and seniors. The festivals and cultural events that are organised every year are amazing. They are well organised and give students a good break from their day-to-day academic life.

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and healthy campus life.
Placements: Placements in IQ City Medical College are not like engineering colleges with packages and recruiters. Here, every MBBS student has to do a compulsory one-year internship within the college hospital, so technically, it's 100 percent placement. During an internship, we get hands-on exposure in medicine, surgery, pediatrics, OBG, etc. After that, most either prepare for NEET PG or join as junior residents/medical officers in private or government hospital. Salary depends on where you join, usually starting around 6-10 LPA. So the placement part mainly means internship and clinical training while career growth depends on individual choices later.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at IQ City Medical College is quite good for academics and hostel life. The classrooms are spacious with SMART boards, proper seating, and good ventilation. Labs are well-equipped for practicals, and the central library has a wide collection of medical books with Wi-Fi access and a peaceful reading hall. Hostel facilities are satisfactory, with clean rooms, attached washrooms, and decent Wi-Fi. The mess provides hygienic food, though the taste could be improved, while the canteen offers additional options. Medical facilities are available within the campus hospital, and there are provisions for sports and a gym. Overall, the campus is student-friendly.
Faculty: Faculty at IQ City Medical College is well-qualified, approachable, and supportive in both theory and practical sessions. Teaching quality is generally good, with interactive classes and clinical exposure that help in better understanding. The MBBS curriculum strictly follows NMC guidelines, making it highly relevant and industry-ready by focusing on both academics and patient care. Semester exams are moderately difficult, requiring consistent preparation, but most students pass if they study regularly. The pass percentage is usually high, reflecting proper teaching and guidance from the faculty. Overall, the course prepares students well for future medical practice.
Other: Campus life at IQ City Medical College is vibrant with a mix of academic and extracurricular activities. I chose MBBS here for the strong clinical exposure and modern facilities. The best part of the course is the balance between practical training and theoretical learning. Yet, improvement in hostel food quality and exam scheduling would be helpful. The college organizes cultural fests, sports meets, and medical events that make campus life engaging. The crowd is diverse and supportive with good peer interaction. Connectivity to the city is decent, and scholarships are available, encouraging deserving students.

Faculty are torcher on us and they are not student-friendly, and principal is very bad.
Placements: There are 200 students for 2023 batch and 2024 batch 250 and before 2023, there were 150 students. College itself gives an internship chance. College gives internship payment around Rs. 30,000, which is an increase from last few days. Before that, Rs. 20,000 were given, and before that, Rs. 120000.
Infrastructure: There is moderate food quality maintained by hostel. And hostels are neat and clean and have a good quality of service, having a warden, security staff, and a small room for sharing by 2 people. But hostel and mess charges are too high, which is not a decent level around Rs 1,66,000.
Faculty: Faculty of 1st year of anatomy and physiology is too good, but biochemistry is bad. And in second year microbiology department is very bad. Microbiology department is traumatized by giving detention in exams. They are not student-friendly, they are very bad.
Other: There is a freshers' party for juniors, fests, and all cultural events.

Placements: Nearly 100% of students get compulsory internship (mainly in the attached teaching hospital). The highest package is 8 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and average is 4 LPA. Top recruiters are in-house at IQ City Medical College Hospital, Narayana Health, some join private hospitals like Apollo, Fortis, and Medical. 100% of students do a one-year paid internship (Rs 20,000 per month - Rs 25,000 per month) within the college hospital itself.
Infrastructure: Our college has modern air-conditioned lecture halls, digital smart classrooms, central library with online journals, well-equipped labs, and skill labs for clinical training. Hostels are spacious with Wi-Fi, common rooms, and gym. It has a separate mess for boys and girls. Food quality is average but hygienic. Medical facilities and ambulance are available on campus. Sports grounds for cricket, football, volleyball, and indoor games add to campus life.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, qualified, and generally helpful. Teaching is interactive with clinics and digital aids. Curriculum follows NMC guidelines with skill labs, AETCOM, and integrated teaching, making it clinically relevant. Semester exams are moderately tough but manageable, and pass percentage is usually above 85%.
Other: It is an MBBS course under WBUHS. I chose MBBS to serve patients and gain strong clinical skills. Best parts are good patient inflow, modern labs, and friendly faculty members. It needs improvement in hostel Wi-Fi, more PG seats, and better facilities for teaching. Campus hosts IQ Fiesta, sports meets, and quiz contests. Our campus has peaceful surroundings with a mixed and disciplined crowd. It is connected by Durgapur junction. It provides limited scholarships. We have active cultural and social clubs.

The college has good clinical exposure and a modern campus, but high fees.
Placements: There are no classic campus placements like engineering colleges. 100% of students got internships in the hospital, with a stipend range from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month. After MBBS, most of the students join as junior doctors, tutors, or prepare for PG (MD/MS). The average starting salary is 3 LPA-5 LPA, and some get 6 LPA-8 LPA in a private hospital. Career growth mainly depends on PG entrance and further specialization.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at IQ City Medical College & Hospital, Durgapur, has a modern 100-acre campus with separate academic, hospital, and hostel blocks. Air-conditioned lecture theatre, demo rooms, central library with e-resources, well-equipped laboratories, and skill labs for preclinical and clinical teaching are available. It has a friendly, disciplined student crowd, a peaceful, green 100-acre campus slightly outside the city. The campus is connected by road and the Durgapur Junction railway. Scholarships are limited, but the state schemes are accepted. Active student clubs, debates, sports, and outreach activities enrich campus life. Overall, the college provides balanced academics, infrastructure, and extracurricular exposure in a private medical college setup.

Placements: 90% of students got placed from our course. The highest salary is Rs. 50,000 per month and the lowest is Rs. 30,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like Apollo, Vivekananda Hospital, Mission Hospital, and government colleges. 90% of students got internships from our college. Top roles like GDMO, RMO, housestaff, and ICU ward specials.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college. Labs are there in each department. They are well-equipped. Classrooms are modern and fully air-conditioned, and projector screens are available. The hostel is good and well-furnished. Single, double, and triple room facilities are available there. Both AC and non-AC rooms are available. Mess food is very good. 4 times food is served and it changes each day and season-wise. Indoor game facilities are available in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. They have degrees like MD and Ph.D. Teaching quality is student-friendly. They are very strict and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are very difficult. You have to qualify in semester exams in order to appear for university exams. Pass percentage in semester exams is 80%.
Other: I want to serve mankind from childhood. So there is no better option than becoming a doctor. Things I want to improve like I want to build an auditorium hall for our college on the campus. Fest happens every year. Connectivity is very good. Both bus, auto, and bike facilities are available on our campus. The station and bus stand are also not so far. They are 10 -15 km from college campus. Scholarships like Swami Vivekananda and Aikashri are given by the government of West Bengal. Extracurricular activities like dance, quiz, and singing competition happen every year in our fest.

Review of IQ CITY Medical College and Hospital.
Placements: Depending on the rank of students, they get a chance to acquire admission, be it in the government quota with less fee, or the management quota with less fee. Students can join any college or hospital after completing their internship. Every student who qualified in their final exams gets a chance for an internship. Moreover, they can also opt for further studies and take the next examination. The internship stipend is approximately Rs. 25,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is wonderful. There is a fully air-conditioned lecture theatre with a projector for PPT presentation. New lecture theatres are also under construction for better interactive study sessions. A library is available where students can sit and study. An external reading room is available, which is different from the library. Sometimes, MBBS students can sit there. Chess and carrom boards are available. There is a very big field to play football and cricket. We have a basketball court and a volleyball court.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and extremely knowledgeable. They are very helpful as they not only teach us well but also guide us if we have any doubts. They also take revision classes before exams to help the students build confidence. The course curriculum is relevant, and it prepares students to be ready for the industry.
Other: The annual function of the college is RICORRENZA. The function lasts for 3-4 days, full of fun and enjoyment. Many competitions, such as song, dance, and sports, occur. Many famous singers make a guest appearance.

Review of IQ City Medical College for the MBBS course.
Placements: For placements, we have shown knowledge of what we achieved in our all medical career institute. After MBBS, students prepare for PG. It is definitely a difficult exam for the UG.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi on campus. During admission, they told us that we would get Wi-Fi, but it is been around 4 years, and no Wi-Fi has been installed. There is a total quota to get admission. Classrooms they made right now are impressive, like we think we are sitting in a theatre. Labs are not good. We have to play sports on our own, and there is no support from the college.
Faculty: Exams are very difficult, and we have to get 50% marks to pass exams. There are a total of 9 semesters and 4 proff. We have to pass each proff to promote to year, and if we fail, we have to join the next immediate batch. There are two quotas to get admission, state and management. No one fails in this college, which is higher as compared to other colleges.

Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained mentioned percentage taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. In respect of PwBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%. Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for the ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’.
