New college with good facilities, but needs better clinical integration.
Placements: College started in 2023, so no batch has graduated yet. However, in medical colleges, placements are not conducted in the same manner as in engineering or management courses. Students, after completing the course, either pursue PG exams or work as junior doctors or residents. 100% of students receive compulsory internships in the attached hospital after the final year.
Infrastructure: A central library with medical textbooks, national and international journals, and e-journals is present. Wi-Fi is available. Two well-structured lecture theaters with smart classrooms are present. Subject-wise labs and a dissection hall are present with individual demonstration rooms. Subject-wise departmental libraries are also present. Two fully furnished AC/non-AC hostels are present (one for boys and one for girls). Every room has an attached bathroom. Common rooms and indoor games rooms are also present. The quality of food is average. The mess and canteen are clean and hygienic.
Faculty: JIS Medical College offers a supportive academic environment with qualified and knowledgeable faculty members. Most of the faculty members are very helpful, experienced, appreciable, and willing to clarify doubts both inside and outside classes. Teaching quality is generally good, with a mix of lectures and interactive sessions. The college follows NMC guidelines, ensuring the curriculum is relevant and up to date. Regular clinical postings and practical exposure help prepare students for real-world scenarios. The semester exams are moderately challenging. Continuous internal exams ensure students stay engaged throughout the year. The passing percentage is fairly high; generally, 80% of students pass the exams.
Other: I am from the MBBS 2023-2028 batch at JIS Medical College. I chose the course to become a doctor and serve the community. The best part of the course is early clinical exposure and supportive, knowledgeable faculty members. The teaching quality is good, and the course is NMC approved. The semester exams are moderately tough, but regular classes and revision help. However, better lab facilities, more research opportunities, and modern teaching tools would improve the course. The campus has a friendly crowd, with an annual fest, medical camps, quizzes, seminars, and sports events. The annual fest is the highlight. The college is well connected, and public transport is available.

Satisfactory College that delivers everything it promised.
Placements: 150 students were placed in UG MBBS both 1st and 2nd year and in total there are now 300 students enrolled in JIS school of medical Science and research, Satragachi. The courses offered is MBBS. There is also another college in the premises for postgraduate students. We will be recruited in the Hospital under construction within the premises.
Infrastructure: We have got whole college wide high-speed strong Wi-Fi connection. We have got proper practical labs for each department including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology and microbiology. The classrooms are proper and well maintained provided with AC, tv, projectors, computers, Wi-Fi.
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable, amiable and helpful. They clear all our doubts and teach effective in class. Class tests and quizzes are held to boost knowledge. They make us absolutely ready to go for the upcoming exams. Whenever attendance is low, they always repeat a class and they do hold very useful revision classes before exams.
