One of the best private medical colleges in West Bengal, overall terms.
Placements: Since Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital is a medical college providing an MBBS degree, placements are not a priority. So, aspects like placements and packages are not relevant in this field. Every student who passes the Final Professional Examination is eligible for the internship, which is provided by the authorities in the hospital itself.
Infrastructure: Hostel options: Triple Non-AC, Triple AC, Single AC. Large rooms with attached washrooms, western toilets, and geysers. Purified cold water is available on every floor. Furniture: A bed with mattress, study table, chair, and wardrobe will be provided. Meals included, not fancy but better than most government hostels. Trust me! Entry time: by 10 PM. Lift available; electricity is partially subsidized. Wi-Fi is not available (can be arranged through a local ISP). The college has well-equipped labs with the latest equipment. There are excellent microscopes, AC lecture theaters with projectors, and a good number of patients ensure excellent clinical exposure. There is a 4-day annual fest with top celebrities.
Faculty: Some of the best and well-reputed faculty members can be found in JIMSH. Internal exams are conducted weekly to test preparation. It's a blessing in disguise. JIMSH falls under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, recognized by NMC. Semester examinations are a bit tougher than the Professional ones, which is again a good thing. You are prepared for the worst. The only downside I feel is that the academics are quite strict regarding attendance.
Other: I think the question of why I chose MBBS need not be answered. It's a dream for most. It's a very beautiful campus with multiple playgrounds, turf, batting nets, a gym, and a massive state-of-the-art library. Regular sports events like football tournaments, cricket tournaments, volleyball tournaments, and badminton tournaments are held regularly. Total fees: State quota: around 25 Lacs; management quota: around 1 crore.

It is a private college in West Bengal.
Placements: Every student has to study for the first 4.5 years in the course. It comprises 5.5 years, and the rest 1 year is utilised in internships where every student gets the opportunity to work in the hospital in return for a stipend varying from college to college.
Infrastructure: When it comes to the infrastructure part, it is ranked among the best medical colleges in West Bengal. Everything is neat, clean, and well-developed structurally, which attracts outsiders. People love it when they watch the beauty of the campus here.
Faculty: Faculty members present in this college are well-experienced with work experience of more than 10 years. They make learning so simple for students. The course curriculum followed here is according to the West Bengal Health University only. Exams are held on a regular basis.
Other: The best thing about this college is the infrastructure and the strictness regarding academics.

Top private medical college in West Bengal
Placements: Since this is a professional course, i.e., MBBS, every student pursuing MBBS has to work for one year as an intern after completing 4.5 years of studies. Each student gets the opportunity to serve as an intern in the same college for one year, as it is part of the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch as it is a private medical college, so the infrastructure is more developed compared to other government colleges. From centralized AC classrooms to dissection halls, everything is well-developed and appreciated by the students.
Faculty: Teachers are also very good; they bring their years of experience to ensure the well-being of students. In terms of academics, the college is quite strict, with no freedom given in terms of studies. Academics are the priority here, while other aspects are also taken care of.
Other: I chose this course because it has always been my dream to serve people as a doctor and save their lives. Our college ranks among the top two best medical colleges in West Bengal, and everything ranging from academics to festivals is top-notch.

Dreams to become doctor .
Placements: Since it is an MBBS degree, placements are mostly based on skill set and recommendations. The hospital has a moderate patient load, so if you are willing, you can develop great skills. Faculty members are really good. They'll try to make you excel and become knowledgeable. There are some very well-known and great doctors who took our lectures.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is actually the best part of our college. Faculty members are great and ensure you study diligently. Hostels are very clean and safe, with a curfew at 10:00 pm. Everything else is pretty good. The food is average, though some days it is very good. Non-vegetarians won’t have much problem. But of course, it’s a hostel, not home, so keep your expectations low.
Faculty: All the exams are conducted by WBUHS. So yes, this is much better as you face the same examinations as the government college students. Here, examinations are fair and square; no malpractices. You study, you pass. Faculty members are very good. They help and teach you in the best way possible.
Other: My marks were low, and private medical colleges are basically selected by the fees one can afford. So frankly, it's a huge amount! Once you have made up your mind to enter a private medical college, then this could be your first choice after a few other colleges. Genuinely!

It's a really good college!
Placements: After the MBBS there is a 1-year mandatory internship course. It will increase your experience in various fields so that you can choose your post-graduation path. Very efficient hospital which gives you a better opportunity to learn and make your experience stronger.
Infrastructure: Air-conditioned classrooms. Around 350 people can sit in one lecture room easily. Air-conditioned furnished library with an ample number of standard & review books (both Indian and foreign authors). Well-furnished triple-sharing or single-sharing hostel with AC and non-AC available. Food quality is moderate.
Faculty: Faculty members are very qualified and friendly. Academically well-disciplined and strict. Frequent internal exams according to a strict routine without fail. 2-semester exams per year and 1 professional exam which are moderate. The scope of various research options is also there.
Other: The campus is moderately huge, hostels are well-furnished. It is among the best private medical colleges in West Bengal. It has a gym, cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, swimming pool, indoor games room. The scope for extracurricular activities is also there. Our cultural fest called MAGNUS gets organized every year.

A comprehensive review of JAGANNATH GUPTA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND HOSPITAL.
Placements: There are 200 students in our batch. The highest you can earn after MBBS in a hospital is approximately 1.5L after some years of experience. You apply to hospitals when vacancies are released. All 200 students get internships from the college itself. You can become an MBBS doctor after this course.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is great. It is a relatively new campus with a library where you can find every book required for MBBS. The campus has a hospital for medical emergencies, a football ground, cricket ground, basketball court, badminton court, and a long tennis court, which is under construction. The campus also has malls that will open soon. The hostel facilities are good, but the food quality is average.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. All the teachers motivate you to study and help in every possible way. All the faculty members have an MD/MS degree at minimum; most of them have higher qualifications. This college has the best facilities in West Bengal. The course is taught according to NMC guidelines. The semesters are a bit challenging, with exams every Monday that prepare students for the semester and test their overall knowledge of the topic.
Other: In MBBS, you can become a doctor and make a difference. The exam syllabus should be a little less. The best thing about our college, besides academics, is the fest. The fest is called 'MAGNUS FIESTA', and many well-known artists have participated here like Badsha, Honey Singh, and Ayushman Khurana.

I am absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: Still, no batch has passed out from this college yet. But in the MBBS course, you should not worry about placement. If you pass out with good marks, you will definitely crack PG or work in a public hospital as a medical officer. The academics also help the student to choose the right path. They assist the student throughout the duration of the course. One can go from high to higher by studying in this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is outstanding, still a work in progress. The library is a sight to behold. It is like a mall, with every book and journal related to medical science available here. The labs have all modern equipment and facilities. The hostel rooms are akin to hotel rooms, neat and clean. The food provided in the mess is outstanding, offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. All types of sports and games are available here, including a cricket field, football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, and badminton court, along with indoor games like carrom and ping pong.
Faculty: The college has the best faculty in the whole of Eastern India. The academic curriculum is genuinely serious here. All the teachers work hard for the students. Every week there is an assessment test which helps students prepare themselves for the final exam. The semester is quite challenging, BUT almost 75% of students pass the exam.
