The subjects that are taught in the first semester of the MMS course at JBIMS Mumbai are closely related to Management and Finance. These subjects aim to create a foundational base for students. Some of the subjects included in the first semester are:

The seat allocation at JBIMS would be decided based on the admission process followed by the institute. JBIMS Mumbai offers a total number of 590 seats in MMS courses, from which 160 seats are allocated to MMS in the Financial Management course. To secure a seat in this programme, candidates are required to complete their graduation first with a minimum of 50%. Secondly, must have secured a valid score in any of these entrance exams- MAH- MBA CET, MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, or ATMA.

Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies offers Master of Management Studies (MMS), MMS in Financial Management, MMS in Marketing Management and Master of Human Resource Development (MHRD) through various National-level and state-level exams. Candidates aspiring for JBIMS must have a valid score in either of CAT, CMAT and MAH CET MBA to fulfil the eligibility for further admission rounds. As per JBIMS cutoff 2023 for MMS, the minimum cutoff in MAH CET CAP Round 1 was 99.99 Percentile. Also, taking into consideration CAT cutoff, candidates must have an overall percentile of 96 for MMS and 95 percentile for MMS in Marketing Management and Master of Human Resource Development for General All India category students. Further, aspirants with 99 percentile in CMAT are eligible for MMS in Financial Management. The aforementioned cutoffs are based on previous years.

The seat inatke for MSc in Finance at JBIMS is 40. To secure a seat at M.Sc in Finance candidate should apply on the portal of the institute for admission to MSc Programme. The candidates should have appeared for MH-CET  or CAT to be eligible for the process. The application form will be opened for a stipulated period for applying to the admission process of MSc Finance.
