You don't want to get into this college without knowing this.
Placements: In MBBS, there is no placement system. After MBBS, you can either go for JRSHIP in a hospital or prepare for the NEET PG exam. An internship is a mandatory part of MBBS. The 5th year of MBBS consists of an internship. If you are an MBBS doctor, you are eligible to start your own clinic.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is far better than that of other government colleges of Bihar. Lush green campus and cloudy weather most of the time will never cease to amaze you. We have a two-floor library with free Wi-Fi and AC. Lecture theatres are spacious and air-conditioned. Lectures are given by professors using a projector. We have a histology lab, biochemistry lab, physiology lab, path lab, pharma lab, and microbiology lab. The mess food is average. The cafeteria is also good. We have an indoor stadium where carrom, table tennis, chess, etc. Sports are played. We have a volleyball court and a badminton court.
Faculty: Some professors are genuinely great. You'll just love attending their lectures. But some are quite boring, to be honest. Teaching is great, but in MBBS, self-study matters more. MBBS makes you stronger to face the real world out there. Semester exams are not so difficult, you can easily excel in semester exams. Pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose MBBS because of my love for the human body. I always wondered how fascinating human bodies are. I would like to increase the stipend given to intern doctors. We have a lot of events including the Foundation Day.

The infrastructure here is really impressive.
Placements: Although the 1st batch of this college is going to pass with the completion of the internship in the starting months of 2026. There are great opportunities for students after MBBS because of the huge gap between the demand and supply of doctors in states like Bihar or in the country like India.
Infrastructure:
The infrastructure here is really impressive. The hospital, hostels, college block, library, and even the Wi-Fi are all top notch. In fact, its considered among the top 3 government medical colleges in Bihar. Every hostel has its own private mess with yearly contracts, so the food is not always great. The campus life balances it out with awesome sports facilities, a nice gym, and plenty of games to keep students active and refreshed.
Faculty: Teachers here are very knowledgeable and supportive, but like in most colleges, students mainly learn on their own. Almost everyone relies on an online platform for extra help. Most semesters are taken seriously, students usually do not practice many MCQs, so the majority just manage to score passing marks.

College is just a platform.
Placements: Although the 1st batch of this college is going to pass with the completion of the internship in the starting months of 2026. There are great opportunities for students after MBBS because of the huge gap between the demand and supply of doctors in states like Bihar or in the country like India.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hospital, hostels, college block, library, and Wi-Fi is awesome, and it's among the top 3 in all government medical colleges in Bihar. Every college has its own private mess with yearly tender, so it depends, and the quality is not that good, but the sports, gym, and games are nice.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable, but like in all colleges, every student learns on their own. Everyone tends to take help from online platforms. Most semesters are taken seriously, as students hardly confirm MCQs, and most students just get passing marks.

Review of Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College and Hospital.
Placements: Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College and Hospital offers MBBS courses for the 100 students every year.
The students get admission through the NEET UG examination conducted centrally nationwide. The college also offers internship programs with an average package of 18000-20000.
Infrastructure: The hostels are good here. The rooms are spacious, with the occupancy of 2 students in each room. The hostels are multistory with water coolers and dustbins. Boys and girls hostels are separate and the mess is also good. The campus has a cafeteria and the medical facilities here are too good.
Faculty: The faculties here are highly talented and all are doctors. They have postgraduates from very reputed government medical colleges. In a year, 3 terminal exams are held along with vivas and practicals, and finally the university examination.
The exams are not very tough.
Other: MBBS is one of the most reputed courses in the country and becoming a doctor is itself a responsible work .
In college, many festivals are held, such as cultural nights, CFD, sports weeks, and many competitions held every three months. The environment here is very peaceful.

Infrastructure and hostel are good, but I am dissatisfied with management and surroundings.
Placements: It is a new government college. For MBBS, there shouldn't be any much problem in placements. Almost everyone gets a decent job with a salary package of 10-12 LPA. Many private hospitals are ready to appoint students from here. You can easily get a job in PHC and earn a salary of Rs. 70,000 per month easily.
Infrastructure: The best thing about this college is its world-class infrastructure and hostel. Hostels are large, with 2 students in one room, bed and table. They provide the best quality of RO water for drinking, and water for bathing is also clean. Except for the hostel room, a Wi-Fi connection is available everywhere, like in class, ground and on the whole campus. Most of the areas in the hospital also have a great Wi-Fi speed. The library is large with the latest books and space for learning things. Labs are also well-maintained with most of the equipment. As it is a new college, some things are missing, but most of the things are available. The mess food is of great quality, and Rs. 4,000 per month is the mess charge where you get a healthy and delicious meal 3 times a day. Our college has an indoor stadium, gym, 2 grounds for cricket and other sports with basketball, volleyball and badminton courts separately.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very helpful and have knowledge except for a few who are present in most of the colleges. Teachers here are transferred from many old and reputed colleges like PMCH, NMCH, etc. The curriculum is covered like other colleges. The pass percentage here is 50%, and semesters are taken separately and strictly in the examination room, which asks direct and simple questions.
Other: I have chosen this course because MBBS provides job security more than others, and the satisfaction to treat is different. Our college is new, so fests organised are less and not that interesting compared to the number of students which is less. Still, it would improve. Our campus surroundings are concerned as it is located in the crime capital of Bihar and also in the village type area, which is underdeveloped. Still, inside the campus, students are generally safe.

The infrastructure was good, but outside the college, nothing was good.
Placements: The first batch had not passed out. The internship was good, but the stipend was too low. There was no package offered in this course. The marks in the MBBS course mattered for placement. My friend was a gold medalist, so he thought he could do better than me. Let’s see then.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was not too good. The library was awesome with a very peaceful and nice ambience. Labs were fully automated. Classrooms were well maintained, but the AC was not working properly. The canteen was closed. The mess was not very hygienic. Not many sports options were available, only cricket and badminton.
Faculty: Faculty members were good, awesome, and supportive but very few in number. Faculty members were very knowledgeable, but some had joined politics. Teaching skills were also very good. I liked the gynae department very much. Semester exams were very difficult, and the question level was of NEET PG level.
Other: I liked to serve people for free, so I wanted to become a doctor. The best thing in this course was that you didn’t have time for yourself, with lots of depression. I wished to improve the toxic environment.
