Placements: I, Sayan Saha, a student of JB Institute of Hospitality Management, Kolkata, am currently pursuing a Diploma course in culinary art and bakery. I am amazed to share that I have been selected at The Westin Goa for my industrial training. JBIHM institute offers casual training, vocational training, and Industrial training to every student. Every student gets an opportunity to work with top-brand hotels such as Hyatt Regency, JW Marriot, Novotel, and many more. Most significantly after the completion of the industrial training most of the students got absorbed by the hotels themselves. I am so thankful to JBIHM for guiding me on such a wonderful path.

Infrastructure: JBIHM maintains an excellent infrastructure. Our institute has an AC classroom, AC practical lab, a well-maintained smart classroom, and a computer lab. Our institute has separate kitchens for practical classes. One is the cold kitchen where bakery classes are held and another is the hot kitchen where practical classes for Indian, Continental, and Chinese dishes, are taught.

Faculty: JBIHM has an excellent crew of faculty members. They are exceptionally good in their fields and highly professional. Each and everyone has industry-level knowledge. They maintain a good teacher-student relationship, help in grooming ourselves, guiding us to become better personalities. We visit industry with their assistance. In one word without their help and guidance, it could never be possible to have a successful career.

Other: From the very early days of my childhood, It was always one of my the biggest dreams to establish my career in the hotel industry and I had a keen interest in bakeries. Once I know about JBIHM college I decided to join here and I chose the right institute for brightening my future path. Not only studies, but JBIHM also encourages us in co-curricular activities. Our institute organizes several events from the New year celebration to the Christmas day celebration. Every month we at least have one event where we can participate and can explore ourselves in a different way.

JBIHM gives me confidence to start my professional career in food production field.

Placements: I have joined JBIHM as I was very interested in starting my career in food production, and I joined Diploma in Culinary Arts and Bakery. I have got selected in The Pride Plaza, Kolkata for my industrial training. Most of the students got already placed with various 5-star brands all over India. We get 100% placement assistance from JBIHM even for international opportunities.

Infrastructure: We have well-furnished classrooms and well-equipped and maintained practical labs. I have gathered extensive practical knowledge from our faculty members, and the course material is very much of industry standard. Classrooms are aided with audio-visual capacity. We have separate hostels available for girls and boys.

Faculty: The course curriculum is specially designed for various operational departments. I have chosen food production, and it is designed very effectively with a practical orientation. Faculty members are very helpful and motivate us with effective evaluation measures. We get feedback regularly to improve our knowledge and skills. They organise industrial visits also to make us aware of the recent industry trends. During lockdown, we had undergone online classes and webinars with the industry experts which have given us vast knowledge and also experience.

Other: All the courses offered in JBIHM are affordable, and students from all income groups can join here. Campus life is full of positivity, and we celebrated most of the festivals like Saraswati Puja, Diwali and Christmas in our institution. We also celebrated Holi, Independence Day, Republic Day, Teachers' Day, and Freshers party on our campus. The scholarship programme is also available with specific criteria.
