JIPMER offers undergraduate, postgraduate, super-specialty, and doctoral programmes including MBBS, BSc, MD, MCh, DM, PDF, PDCC, MS, etc. These courses are offered in full-time mode. A candidate must possess MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs and BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognised by the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India as notified by Govt. of India and Dental Council of India respectively and must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training in certain period of time. They must have scored the minimum marks in MBBS/BDS or equivalent examination. Minimum marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories is 50% while for all other categories including OBC/EWS Category, the minimum mark is 55% in aggregate.

Overall six months time is sufficent for INI CET preparation. This includes 4 month in depth study and 2-month for revision work. The moment a candidate plan to appear for the INI CET, first and formost things he/she should do is to draw a study plan. Focus on those subjects where you are strong in terms of concept. Don't spend too musch time initially on subjects where you are weak. This will demotivate you and affect your preparation. Keep this in mind that concept is key. High yielding topics must be prepared properly to score good marks in INI CET exam.
5% of the seats are reserved horizontally to PwD students as per the rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. If no eligible, students are available for a seat allotted for PwBD under a category, the seat will be filled by various students from the same category. eg an unfilled UR-PwBD seat will be filled
based on merit by an eligible student from UR category.
The no. & distribution of seats may vary depending upon the periodic directives
decisions from the competent authority & Government of India.
Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for INI CET exam. The qualifying INI CET cut off percentile for the general category is 50%. Candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC category have to score minimum qualifying cut off, 45. Candidates who qualify the exam with the minimum cut off percentile are eligible for the counselling process. Based on INI CET cut off a merit list will be released. The merit list comprises name of eligible candidates for the different counselling rounds. AIIMS conducted INI CET 2025 July session on May 17, 2025.
AIIMS announced the INI CET result. Result comprising the list of qualified candidates was uploaded on the official website, aiimsexams.ac.in. Those who score the minimum cut off are declared qualified for the exam. Minimum qualifying mark is different for different category.
