Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology with a minimum of 50% aggregate along with English as one of the subjects can apply for BSc at JIPMER Puducherry. SC/ST/OBC candidates need 40% aggregate to be eligible, whereas 45% aggregate is required for PwD category candidates) to apply for the course.

Yes, the student can get into JIPMER with 75% in 10th and 80% in 12th. JIPMER accepts NEET UG scores for MBBS admission, and doesn't consider 10th and 12th scores if the NEET UG is qualified. However, students need to qualify the eligibility criteria for NEET UG, before filling of the NEET UG examination form. The NEET UG eligibility in respect of 10th and 12th marks is different for different categories of candidates. The Minimum aggregate in the qualifying examination (PCB) is 50 percent for the General category, 45 percent for General PWD and 40 percent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Reserved-PWD. JIPMER Puducherry inducts candidates for the MBBS programme based on valid NEET-UG scores followed by the counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

The NEET last round closing rank for admission to the MBBS programme at the JIPMER, Puducherry was 17588. Candidates having their rank as specified by the institute cut-off list can register for the counselling round at JIPMER followed by document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.
