This is Telangana's top college.
Placements: We can be placed in top companies like DRDO, JSW Steel, ISRO, and many research companies. We can get an average of 4 LPA in the placements and our branch placement rate is 100 percent. A few students get an internship from our college but it's rare.
Infrastructure: The sports block is good but I'm not allowed to play. They allow after 5:00 PM, and no extra activities are conducted. The hostel infrastructure is very bad, the food is average, no proper washrooms, and there is no Wi-Fi in the classroom. The library has a pretty good number of books available, but only one canteen is available.
Faculty: Faculty want to fail students in the semester exams, regardless of how well they write. Teachers are good sometimes but they often eventually target the students in examinations. In 2026, the B.Tech 1st year 1st semester pass percentage is only 20 percent.
Other: College fests are not that interesting better to not go, just choose this college because it's a state top college.

Review of JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad.
Placements: I am unsure regarding placements until I sit for it. There are mixed reviews from seniors, but I have seen good efforts from the placements cell to help students get placed. It is very important to have a hold on your skills in your respective domain by yourself. I am using my freedom of speech 19 1 A to write this review truthfully if any of the dumb guys find this hurting. The only advantage is that it's in the centre of the city, open gates, freedom and the JNTUH tag. It's not worth putting a pisa in its current condition. Just embrace the freedom by going out.
Infrastructure: All the high-fidelity hardware from CNCs, lathes, and 6DOF, SCARA robots are basically in permanent sleep mode. Classrooms have recently shifted to a better building. The canteen is like some kind of city cafe. I have not seen any good international-level projects happening here. Some tequip stuff is just left. Just imagine we have used the vintage abrasive sand papers, which are 10 years old, in the materials lab. The IC engines lab was somewhat good. There are many pathetic things to say, but there is a word limit here.
Faculty: Only some specific faculty are good, all others should just be fired. Most of the contract lecturers are pathetic. But there are good teachers like KMR sir, Naga Sarada ma'am, VKR sir, Indira Rani ma'am and Shravan sir who teach us and possess good knowledge. The course content will be good, but the environment is not so good for learning subjects. There is no recruitment, I guess. I have not studied for any exam to date and have passed, except for a couple of times. Many of them lack industry expertise and come as project guides.
Other: I chose this course with an interest in the manufacturing domain. There is nothing here to understand the mass scale of it, large scale projects were not conducted when I was in college. Improvements are needed in all aspects. The college is with a lower NIRF with far better qualities according to current standards. The fest is not technical, it's better called a cultural fest, betting and game of luck type things, only you will get to see in the fest, rather than actual engineering. After my 1st year of engineering, I went quite depressed. I leveraged hunting for other impactful projects and networking.

JNTU Hyderabad is a good university that provides quality education and career opportunities.
Placements: The placement opportunities are good, especially for students from top-affiliated colleges. Many well-known companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and Cognizant visit the campus and affiliated colleges for recruitment. The university also encourages internships, projects, and skill-development programs to prepare students for jobs.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi in labs but not in classrooms. We have two big libraries in JNTUH. Since it is a government college hostel, the quality of the facilities in our hostel is just good. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities, sports, and games are good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching experience is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that easy. Students really need to study well to get good marks in it.

It is one of the best universities you can get, working hard will always give you the best results.
Placements: 90 out of 100 are placed in this university. The exams they conduct are considered to have one of the toughest question papers. This also means that if you pass those subjects, it indicates you have good knowledge in those subjects, which leads the majority of the students to crack interviews.
Infrastructure: They have transport facilities and accommodation facilities, and the college is in one of the best areas in Hyderabad. The university has every essential that a student will need in their academics, and they also maintain hygiene in the mess. Fine food is provided, and sports programs are conducted often.
Faculty: Teachers here are very qualified. They acknowledge the individual academic situations of the students, which helps to prepare the students accordingly, resulting in taking responsibility for poor students. Teachers here are very helpful, and the teaching quality is also very good.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I come from a family whose business involves heavy machinery. This is what made me choose mechanical engineering. In my opinion, the syllabus is very outdated. Going into companies with that outdated knowledge is where many students lack jobs, this could be improved.

    Decent Campus, Better Placements.
Placements: 55% plus students were placed in my college in the Computer Science and Engineering branch. Top recruiter companies for my course are Oracle, Honeywell, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, and Accenture. Many of the students got internships in Accenture. Roles offered are Software Developer, Data Scientist, Full Stack Developer.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are quite good but need to be improved much more since I got into this college. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are sufficient enough. Coming to the hostel facilities, they are not so good, but students need to adjust. The mess is okay, but the same timetable repeats every week, so it's quite boring. They conduct sports and games very often.
Faculty: The teaching quality in our college is good, but it's not the same for every subject. It depends on the subject. There are a few lecturers with zero knowledge on the subject but still teach it. The course curriculum is relevant enough and makes the students industry-ready, which is quite beneficial. As for the semester exams, they are not so tough. It only depends on how well we are at memorizing the things we study, and the pass percentage is 28.
Other: I chose the Computer Science and Engineering course because this course has a lot of demand and much scope in the future. Events and fests take place once a year and are done very well, like a function in our house.

Great campus for freedom, amateur for coding, and a cultural environment.
Placements: Around 95 percent of students in CSE are placed. The highest package is 60 LPA by DeShaw. The average package is around 7.5 LPA. Many companies like Oracle, Infosys, Zeta, etc., have appeared. The top role is Software Engineer. Placements usually start early, from the 4th year. Students ought to be ready for their placements and interviews by the end of 3rd year.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure, classrooms, and departments are quite standard with friendly faculty and a relaxed timetable. Most of the classes have projectors and a usual blackboard. The hostel provides basic necessities like a bed, a shelf, and a study table with a chair. The size of rooms is quite small (Depending upon the sharing of rooms, 2-sharing, 3-sharing). The quality of food is bearable.
Faculty: Professors are very qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is pretty good when compared to other local colleges. The course curriculum is relevant, but it can be improved in some areas. Out of ten, the difficulty level of the semester exams is solid 8.
Other: Since Cybersecurity is a necessity, I wanted to contribute something to this domain. The trend of Cybersecurity never falls. The labs could be improved, especially for cybersecurity. But one good thing is, we have a club for our course.

Unfiltered B. Tech college life at JNTUH .
Placements: Out of 63 students, around 20–30 students got placed in our course with the average package. When I joined this college, someone mentioned packages around 36 LPA, but now it is about 15 LPA, with the lowest being above 6 LPA. Companies like Wipro and Google recruit, but many students also choose the government sector, like GENCO, BHEL, etc. Currently, we are in 3-1, so I don’t know much about internships, but half of my seniors did internships at BHEL and substations. Top roles offered include assistant engineer and high voltage engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are superb, including labs and classrooms. They even teach using anime videos to explain concepts, and if we have doubts, we can contact them anytime. There are two libraries. However, the hostel is not very good, the food is terrible, many of my friends have experienced food poisoning weekly or monthly. The rooms are overcrowded, if it is a 4-member room, around 7 members are accommodated. The hostel is not ideal, but other facilities are good.
Faculty: The faculty have very good knowledge of their subjects. Even if we don’t understand something, they explain using anime videos. This course curriculum prepares students to be industry-ready, especially for electrical engineering. Semester exams can be tough, but the pass percentage is around the SGPA.
Other: I am interested in this course because, nowadays, everywhere there is AI, but AI cannot replace the electrical system, and there are many opportunities in this field. Management can improve in issuing memos or responding to issues on time. The college has yearly fests and traditional day celebrations. Scholarships are provided to eligible students. There are grounds and an indoor stadium. Lastly, the campus surroundings are very beautiful at night.

    My honest review of JNTUH.
Placements: Placements are around 30-50% each year. The highest package is 42 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Companies like Qualcomm and Amazon visit, but in limited numbers. Internship opportunities exist in data analysis and design roles, mostly requiring self-effort.
Infrastructure: We have labs with i7 processors and decent infra and they are all connected to Ethernet. Buildings are so old that they appear just like renovated within the last 15 years. Hostel facilities are good, decent rooms and good food, also have a sports club very useful.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and good at teaching. But some teachers are so rude, even though they don't get the full subject. The course and the curriculum always projected towards only textbook reading, but in practicality, it's very low. The exams are hard enough that the pass percent is about only 70%.
Other: I chose this college because it's one of the most prestigious and famous colleges in Hyderabad. I think it should improve in practical knowledge more. Events are much less than we expect. The campus crowd is almost 4k, but the campus surroundings are very good, we have 4 theatres and 3 malls.
