A good life for a student at KJ Somaiya Polytechnic.

Placements: It's a batch of 60 students in this course, and some students join at direct second year. The highest package is about 4 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Companies like Tata, Adani, Schneider Electric, Siemens, etc., visit. The top role offered is supervisor. I don't know the exact percentage of students who got internships, but it depends on the students' performance in the exams.

Infrastructure: It's a good infrastructure, and the campus is huge. There are lots of canteens, the food is good, and the teachers are good. Wi-Fi-enabled labs . There are different sections for sports. The library is also well-maintained, and the librarians are also good. Everything is good in this college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is also good. Yes, this course curriculum makes the students industry-ready. The 1st and 2nd semesters are easy, and the 3rd to 6th semesters are difficult, depending on the students. If they study almost 2-3 hours a day at home, then there’s no problem in passing the exams.

Other: There are lots of fests inside the campus, sports every year, and exhibitions are also held.

The college is excellent with amazing infrastructure.

Placements: The average academic score was 70%. I scored 83% in the mechanical course. Almost 30% of the students got an internship from the mechanical course in many companies like Larsen and Toubro, Tata Consultancy Services and others. The average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month.

Infrastructure: Everything is available in our college for our course and our department. Wi-Fi is available. The library is sufficient, and we used to go to the library and read all the essential books. Books are also provided to us of our syllabus and respective subjects.

Faculty: The teachers were well-qualified and helpful, and they clear all our doubts. They also use to take regular tests and give assignments so that we could concentrate on our studies.

Other: Our campus is amazing.

Best Faculty & Good Infrastructure.

Placements: Only 5-10% of the students were placed during our academic year 2015. the highest Package offered is around 25000 INR & the lowest Package offered is around 10000 INR. Top Roles Offered by the companies are mainly Trainee Engineer & Assistant Junior, Site Engineer, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is well maintained by the college. It was recently renewed during the year 2017. They offer good facilities & amenities like Wi-Fi, Subject Laboratories, Games Room, Medical Facilities, Library, etc. Very good quality of Food is being provided at Campus. There is around 5-6 Canteens throughout the Campus.

Faculty: Teaching Quality is Good & Each and every faculty is highly qualified & experienced. They provide ample of knowledge along with the study material & teach many life lessons & share their experiences which they have faced in the industry. They will also offer industrial visits for the students to learn new things.

Other: Best In Events, Fest & Extra curricular activities.

A good college for a middle class man.

Placements: In my course there are 60 students admitted and 15 students applied for placement cell as other students prefer to do degree or further studies. The highest package was 30,000 and the lowest was10,000 per month. L&T, Godrej, Siemens, and many more companies recruited our students. Normally every company trains for 3 years as an internship to make the students ready for the job after 3 years. The highest package was 3,60,000 and average was 1,44,000 and the lowest was 1,20,000. 2 got in L&t, 1 in Siemens and 3 in godrej.

Infrastructure: The classes are clean and laboratories are also available for practical knowledge of theory taught in college. The food available was of good quality and hygienic and also at affordable cost and we have a volleyball court to play inside our college in short breaks.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and can solve most of your doubts and can easily clear your concept. By doing the course students are not fully ready but they get some idea about industrial operations and all other activities of industry. The teachers can solve your problems and they are also student friendly and happy to help.

Other: From my secondary education I had planned that I wanna be a mechanical engineer and for that we have two ways 12th or Diploma. I heard about this college from my brother and I inquired about it and saw good opportunities here. In the course you get a strong foundation of mechanical engineering which makes your degree easy and you can also become job ready. Fest are arranged only once in a year which should arranged in every semester to refresh the students. Events are well organized and campus, surroundings are too good and close to nature and many extracurricular activities, scholarships are available.

Placements: The placements are quite good. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, and Mahindra recruit students and help them gain experience in real-life scenarios. Around 80% of students get the benefits of internships. The highest package offered by companies to Diploma holders is 4 Lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: The library is quite big, and silence is maintained in the library. All books related to research and projects are available for students. Digital workstations like PCs are available in the library to use. The canteen is not huge, but the food is quite tasty. Various sports are available in college to participate.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful when it comes to knowledge and experience. They teach us about all new things in the engineering fields and discuss various topics. They make our studies easy. Semester exams are not tough if you study well. The minimum passing percentage is 45%.
