B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2023
1.8

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, bad placements in 2023.
Placements: In our college, there were 70 students in our graduating class. Of those, one of my friends got a 4.7 LPA package and went on to work as a software engineer at LG Soft. Others went to startups, and some went to foreign countries to pursue higher education.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in the classrooms, but it is available in the labs. The quality of the labs is good, and the college canteen is the best thing about the college. We had a lot of fun there. A little more improvement is needed.
Faculty: The passing percentage is good, around 80-85%, and the course is relevant to the curriculum, making it easy to pass. However, the quality of teaching is poor, as the teachers only explain the main concepts, and if we want to score high, we have to study on our own.
Other: I chose computer science and engineering because technology is an emerging field. However, the curriculum needs to be updated to include proper coding and presentation skills, which are essential in today's job market.

I am not satisfied due to lack of faculty and not proper classes are held.
Placements: Some students got placed in IT industry with the lowest salary package. Wipro, Infosys etc. are the companies visit for placement. Around 99% of students completed internships at different companies like Airobosoft Pvt limited, Zyfer Manglore and many. Designing and software development are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure for labs, classrooms, and library. Some are staying in government hostels and some are in college hostel. Food is not bad at hostel and good medical facilities. In government hostel food is not so expected but still getting every facility provided by government.
Faculty: Teachers are good at teaching. Not the whole course is applicable to getting placed in the industry. There is a lack of faculty that's why students won't get good marks in exams i.e., more than 7.0 CGPA. There is vary in semesters but students will get good marks in semesters. There are no issues.
Other: I would like to choose designing but we don't have proper one to guide but was good to listen some basics about this course. Events are good.

The college is better for self-study students, but I am not satisfied with the placements this year.
Placements: As of now, none of our students have been placed due to layoffs that happened last year. Our college is confident that they are placing students in the best companies in the upcoming year. As of now, we do not have any placements so I cannot talk further about this.
Infrastructure: Course infrastructure is great and the management is reaching the requirements or the needs of the students. College hostel is only 100 meters from the campus. The hostel is clean and well-maintained. Food is quite better and not awesome. Because here in Bangalore food is different from other regions in Karnataka, they provide taste of the local food.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and provide quality education. The department HODs are very knowledgeable and provide career lessons that help students achieve something in their lives. The course curriculum is designed to be relevant and aligned with current industry trends. It includes a mixture of theoretical knowledge, practical projects, and internship opportunities that help students gain hands-on experience. In most programs, especially in technical and professional courses, the curriculum is regularly updated to reflect evolving industry requirements. This focus makes students more industry-ready by the time they graduate.
Other: Computer science is a trending course and we can get bright future according to the current situation. Now AI is overtaking the course, and we can easily upgrade to AI so this course is much better.

I'm dissatisfied with the faculty and facilities of our college.
Placements: In our college placements, 5 students got placed in our course. Tata consultancy services, and Capgemini were the top companies that came to our college for recruitment. The highest salary package that was offered is 5lLPA, the lowest package is 2LPA and the average package is 3LPA. In our college, nearly 50% Of students got internships. Students will get placed with off-campus opportunities during their last year
Infrastructure: Our campus was not equipped with a Wi-Fi connection. The classrooms, library, and labs were good. The food available in the canteen was good, but it was expensive. The college is not very nice to choose from. The hostel and the college are both located somewhere in different locations, and the college is not provided with good facilities.
Faculty: The teaching quality of our college is not good. Somehow, they make the students industry-ready. The passing percentage is good. Students will be ready on their own during the examination. During their final year, students will be assigned to off-campus opportunities. Our college is not good when compared to others.
Other: I have opted for this course because this particular course was my dream. I wish to contribute to improving the quality. Our college does organise events and campus crowds, etc., and they are good.

I am not satisfied with the placements and there is no proper education system.
Placements: There are no placements, lecturers, faculty, and labs. There is no proper facility and college management attracts you by saying free college fees and that they will provide scholarships but they will never help once you get the admission. Many students are stuck with this.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel for the engineering students and no proper food. They charge Rs.70,000 for the hostel but there is no food, proper rooms, Wi-Fi, labs, and proper classrooms. A good library is available.
Faculty: Teachers are a bit helpful and qualified and their teaching quality is not at all good. The pass percentage is 50%. Some of the teachers who have completed their Ph.D. are countable. They act to be too strict but not proper.
Other: I am in the aeronautical branch I suggest choosing this college.

I am satisfied with this college because of its good faculty members.
Placements: Some companies visit the campus selection to select the eligible students from the computer science and electronics, and communications branches. In this college, only software companies visited in the previous year. Due to the COVID-19, there were no campus placements in the college.
Infrastructure: The college has a hospital on the campus. It provides all facilities. The canteen is available, and it serves a variety of food. Sports are conducted by the university yearly.
Faculty: In the electronics and communication department, all faculty members are highly qualified. They do not show an attitude to the students. They are friendly, and they explain concepts easily to understand students. Semester exams are not difficult to pass because we study in internal exams. Our branch has 8 faculty members. They are awesome, and we can easily understand the syllabus.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in electronics. From my childhood, I have been interested in how to manufacture electronic devices and how to communicate with others through signals.
