KCG College Of Technology Holds 19th Graduation Day

October 21, 2021: The 19th Graduation Day of KCG College of Technology was conducted at the KCG College Premises on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Former Minister of the Government of Norway, H.E. Erik Solheim The Chief Guest was King Harald V of Norway, who, before attending the graduation ceremony, inaugurated KCG College's School of Fashion Technology. The Guest of Honour was H.E. Hans Jacob Frydenlund, Norway's Ambassador to India. On the momentous occasion, 60 rank holders and toppers received their degrees, and 1467 students received their degrees virtually.

Principal Dr P Deiva Sundari opened the ceremony by highlighting the college's vision, mission, and academic achievements. Principal "KCG College of Technology has been in the forefront of academic success," she wrote in her assessment. "The institution passionately believes in the notion of holistic education and aims to achieve its purpose of preparing students to confront the difficulties provided by the twenty-first century," according to its founder, Dr KCG Verghese.

H.E. Erik Solheim presented the Graduation Day Address after publishing the KCG College Research Brochure. In his speech, he cited Mahatma Gandhi as an outstanding role model to emulate because of his accomplishments to India in combating powerful British colonial control via nonviolence. He also admonished the graduates to work toward and contribute to the establishment of an Ecological Civilisation. "Be kind, work hard, and never stop being interested," he said as his parting words to the graduates.

About 18 students won university prizes from the departments of Aero, Mechanical, EEE, IT, MCA, and ME, out of 1467 graduating students who received their degrees (CSE). Meritorious students were also awarded gold medals and monetary rewards.

College Organises Rally on “No Plastic Awareness”

December 22 2019: To support Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan or Clean India Mission by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the students of KCG College of Technology organised a rally on “No Plastic Awareness” on December 20. State Information Commissioner Dr R Prathap Kumar flagged the rally. Over 1,000 students actively participated to create awareness around the city on harmful use of plastic. Students also distributed cloth bags by college management to make people understand the reusability of bags that do not even harm the environment. The rally was organised on Rajiv Gandhi Road, Karapakkam.

KCG Hosts Virtusa-Neural Hack Season 3

November 27, 2019: The Grand Finale of the Virtusa Neural Hack Season-3 was held by the KCG College of Technology. It was a 24-hour long hackathon that was organised in the college campus on November 27 and 28. The event was a big success with Round 1 witnessing active participation of over 29,000 students out of which over 2,500 participants could qualify for the second round and 100 could qualify for the final round. The candidates were split into two tracks basis their preferences – Full Stack Track and Data Science Track. Post-hackathon, contestants were taken to Navalur's office in Virtusa, where a total cash prize of Rs 55,000 was given to the top 10 winners in addition to job offers.

Satisfied because of facilities, good placement in 2024, and good infrastructure.

Placements: 94% of the people were placed in the 2024 batch. I guess the highest is 20 LPA, 4-6 LPA is average, and 2 LPA is the lowest. Data pattern for core is 98% have internships. Developed, coders, research department, trainee. Good placement is provided in college. Off-campus is also encouraged.

College had good placements in 2023 and 2024. The infrastructure and facilities are really good.

Placements: Above 80% of students got placed in our course. The highest package is 7 LPA, the lowest package is 4.25 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Capgemini and Sopra Steria. More than 15 students got internships in composites. The top roles are maintenance engineer, authoring, etc.

Placements: KCG College of Technology provided consistent placement support with strong ties to top recruiters like TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant. Students get training in soft skills, coding, and mock interviews. Many alumnis were placed in reputed firms, and the placement cell was active and student-friendly. 90% of students got placed in well-reputed companies. Salary packages range from 3 LPA - 10 LPA.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty members and good placements.

Placements: Almost out of 120, 60 students got placed in different companies. The highest package is 9 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. The average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiters are Capgemini and Sopra Steria. 10 students got internships in composites field and 20 students got internships in non-destructive testing field. Top roles as designing and illustrator.

Don't expect teachers will be friendly or something because it will differ by the department.

Placements: I didn't know the correct value of placed students but average 70-85% of students got placed. The highest salary is 15 LPA. The average salary ranges from 4 LPA - 6 LPA. The lowest I didn't know about it. Recruiting companies are Zoho, TCS, and Infosys. They will allow you to go for internships. The internship company will come to our college in 3 years. Many students got placed in the 3rd year itself.

Good college and infrastructure.

Placements: In our college, placements are very good. Capable students have to score a 7 CGPA to get placed in good companies. Some of the companies that are recruiting for jobs are Amazon, TCS, Zoho, etc. These are some companies, not just these companies, there are 100 companies who approached our college as recruiters. Top roles offered in our college are manager, executive, full-stack developer, data architect, etc.
