Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Batch of 2026

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Admission to B.A. at Vaze College is typically 45% minimum in your 12 exams college provided us with many top companies for internships. Faculty members helped all of us a lot to come up here they suggested various companies for the internship.
Infrastructure: Kelkar College has wisely settled the Wi-Fi box in necessary areas. Classrooms for B.A. are very modest. The canteen sells the most hygienic and fresh food. Chilly price is the most tempting and famous food item in this college. There are many libraries.
Faculty: All the teachers are very friendly and help with every doubt. The difficulty of the exams depends on how much we students have prepared if we have attended all the lectures and took the help of the faculty for doubts then exams are really easy.
Other: Dimensions is the event held in this college. Every student awaits this event eagerly. This course fits my interest the crowd is mid but we can for sure choose the correct friends who fit our status.

Review of Kelkar Education Trust's V.G.Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Placements: I have been in Kelkar College since my 11th standard and it has been my dream to be admitted in it since school. I opted for sociology here. In my course, there are 115 students. Internships have not started yet. The average stipend is Rs. 6,000 per month. Top recruiting companies for our course are Accenture, Deloitte, Colgate, etc.
Infrastructure: We have a sociology department in which we have labs filled with files and project works. Our college does not provide any Wi-Fi for students but there are many signals provided routers as there is no signal for any sim card in college premises. The library is huge it has a vast collection of books and workbooks. The staff members there are a bit rude. Food is great but unhealthy as it mainly includes Chinese, south Indian, oil-fried items, and shakes.
Faculty: Teachers of sociology are pretty friendly. I had Shirsat mam and Shilpa Biju mam. Deep mam is the head of the department of sociology. If we are in her good things, we will enjoy the college life. Once we enter into bad things, we are done for it. Knowledge-wise, Deep mam has a lot of experience in dealing with the crowd she has vast experience in social context. The exam department is clumsy and they do not care about students. The college is autonomous and it has its own rules. The college has only 1 KT exam in a year.
Other: I chose Arts because I wanted to study psychology. But after a time it became too much hectic for me to continue so I switched to sociology. Studying psychology made me realise and correlate myself as a victim of every disorder I read. I was not able to differentiate between a disorder and normal-level faults in humans. I started victimising myself. Teachers for psychology are well-qualified and great at explaining concepts. One of them is rude and Neeta mam teaches Social psychology and is also head of the department. So I opted for Sociology.

Poor infrastructure but better faculty members.
Placements: I'm not certain about the placement statistics for the course, but generally, students tend to pursue a master's degree in our field. An internship is mandatory in the 5th semester. However, the college does not provide internships. Instead, students are required to find their internships, but professors are available to assist students in their search.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not up to date because the college is old and doesn't have adequate space to handle students. The canteen is small and always crowded, but the food is nice and edible. The college also has a gymkhana, which is not functional for 1-2 years. But the gymkhana faculty is nice and very helpful.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and qualified for the job. They help students by teaching them separately in the college, even though students didn't attend the lecture. Semester exams are a bit on the tougher side as they also consider practical questions.
Other: I have chosen to pursue a B.A. in economics and political science. Professors here are excellent, very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, I believe that infrastructure development is necessary, as we currently lack smart classrooms and have a very small auditorium. Regarding campus life, the annual fest is decent. The crowd comprises a mix of students from diverse backgrounds. Overall, they are quite friendly. Unfortunately, sports facilities are limited. The college is not particularly well-known for its athletics. Overall, the college is good.

Good college, do check out other colleges as well and select the one which suits your need.
Placements: The placements were great, one of my friends was hired by Colgate for a finance-related job, another one for HDFC Securities. HR Manager and Researcher were the top roles I can recall. I can't recall the percent of students who got internships. It differed from course to course.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility but has a canteen. The computer lab can only be used by IT students. The library collection is very great. Wi-Fi is also available for students. Medical facilities are also provided, as well as there is a dedicated room for sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The course differs. The semester exams are set by the college itself as it is now an autonomous college, but you can find the previous year question papers in the library. There are many activities which make the students industry-ready, but it majorly depends upon the internships and other live projects you do.

Campus life:- Absolutely amazed to have such delightful college life.
Placements: Almost 90%of the students got placements in banking and insurance. The highest package offered was 3.5 LPA to 4.5LPA and average package was 2.5LPA in the top companies such as JP Morgan and TCS. 10% students got placed which shows that the placement cell of Kelkar college is really good .
Infrastructure: Faculty is very demure and humble and always help with doubts and questions. Classrooms are spacious and big. There's a big library and a reading room, Chemistry, Biology, Physics labs. There's a Gymkhana in the college. Canteen is also there, they serve affordable and tasty food .
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and solve all the doubts and explain topics calmly, until you get the point. They have exhibition and events related to all courses. Teachers and faculty is highly qualified and experienced. The course curriculum doesn't make the students industry ready .
Other: I chose this course because I always had interest in arts. The best things about my course is you get to know so much about the literature and ancient history. College offers the best surroundings and campus life with amazing cultural fest which occurs in December of every year called Dimensions, College has many other culture committees .

Review of Kelkar Education Trust's V.G.Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Placements: Our college does not offer very good placements for our course.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is not Wi-Fi enabled. Classrooms are spacious with large windows. The library is fragmented and confusing. The procedure to procure a book from the library is complicated. The food served in the canteen is overpriced. Our college does not have a huge playground.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. They are helpful only if students take initiative in learning. The teaching quality varies from person to person. Semester exams are not very difficult. Students who manage to attempt all questions can pass exams. Questions asked in exams are repetitive every year.
Other: Our course helps one become of their social, economic, and political surrounding. It also helps in building leadership qualities. Students can make more informed decisions knowing their matrix well. This course is helpful to prepare psychologically if students aspire to attempt competitive exams. Our college crowd is better.

Our college provides job oriented skills and personality development classes.
Placements: As I am in my second year, I don't know much about placements. Seniors in our course got 30 hours of internships in an NGO to get hands-on experience. Placements provided for self-financing courses are very good. Some of our friends are working under renowned chartered accountants from their second year as an intern to get exposure and build their resumes.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated. Library is available with every book and students can access any book and its staff members are cooperative. Wi-Fi facility is available in the library for a minimal amount of Rs.10 for the whole day. IT labs are well maintained. Gym and canteen facilities are also good. Sports equipment is available. The student council is available to solve any grievances of students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good, well-qualified, and helpful. They clear the doubts of the students whenever needed. Their teaching quality is very good. They are helpful for students with academic studies and career goals. As it is an autonomous college, the course curriculum is a bit different from that of the university but worth it. It provides exposure to students for practical learning. Every year, an extra credit course is provided to build job-oriented skills for students. The level of exams is intermediate. The pass percentage in our batch is 80%.
Other: I chose this course because of my target to give the UPSC CSE exams in 2024. Students actively participate in the discussions and learn add-on courses to improve their knowledge. Our college should provide sociology labs so that the students can conduct social experiments. Events and dimensions are very good. Extracurricular activities are held every day.

The college had good faculty members and amazing college fest.
Placements: Students from my batch were working in companies like TCS and Asian Paints. Some of them pursued higher studies abroad while some got jobs in the corporate industry. B.A. in economics offers various top roles in the industry like an economist, professors, etc.
Infrastructure: The food served in the canteen was of good quality and taste. There were various sports teams for volleyball, football, and kabaddi. The college hosted various sports events to which other colleges were invited. Wi-Fi was available throughout the college and in the library. The library was huge, peaceful, and helpful during exams.
Faculty: The teachers in our college were well versed and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They were very kind and helpful to the students. The course curriculum was relevant to the field. Field visits for the students of some subjects were organised by the college where the students were accompanied by the teachers.
