Enriching college experience.
Placements: There were some internship opportunities provided by the placement cell throughout the course related to the fields of marketing, copyrighting, content wrong. However, a guaranteed placement was not offered to students of bachelor of arts. The placement cell is not active for the arts stream.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in the college is excellent, with ample space in the library to study peacefully, and dedicated desks for accessing material online. The library has a good collection of books, and many open-access resources are provided which one can access from anywhere. Classrooms have ACs. The college doesn't have any hostel facilities.
Faculty: Most of the teachers of the arts stream are well qualified. They are highly motivated, and equipped with excellent teaching experience and provide a space for students to learn and grow by creating a space for conversations and discussions. The curriculum of the course is well-paced, and structured, which helps the student be ready for several career opportunities. Regular assignments and tests are conducted throughout the semester, which are competitive.
Other: The english department of the college is excellent. I opted for a Major in english because of my genuine interest in literature, and it offers ample employment opportunities. The college offers you several fests and events throughout the year such as Hojamalo, Kalki, Book and Bake Salem, Talaash, etc. It is located 100 meters away from Churchgate station, which is a prime location in Mumbai, allowing you to meet and interact with the best of minds. Scholarship and fellowship opportunities are there, which are informed timely by the faculty and the administration.

Jai Hind College is a college for everyone .
Placements: I recently completed my first year studying B.A. psychology. There are around 150 students in my class. We haven't been informed about any placements yet. There is a MYCAP workshop that is offered to first-year students in which they provide you with training for one month and then offer an internship. The student has to pay a fee to enroll in the program.
Infrastructure: The college does not have in-house hostels. There are two buildings, of which one has centralized AC. All the classrooms in that building have AC. There are two cafeterias, one for vegetarians and one for non-vegetarians, as well as an auditorium, library, and AV room. There is no Wi-Fi facility for students.
Faculty: The faculty here is highly knowledgeable and very well qualified. Their teaching techniques are very good. There are two semesters in each year. The papers were of medium level. The marks are divided into 40–60. There is a 60-mark theory paper at the end of each semester, and the 40 marks are divided into 20 marks for assignments and the other 20 for MCQ tests.
Other: The main event at the college is SHOUT. There are different events that take place, organized by different departments. There are various clubs like NSS, Rotaract, and the Social Dramatic Union. All these are handled by the students themselves. There is also a basement with all indoor activities, and the gym khana is responsible for all sporting events.

A vibrant campus life with meaningful courses, internships & lectures.
Placements: JHC provides full major in His/Philo/Psych/English&Eco and part major in political Science. If you opt for B.A. eco you'll be able to secure an internship by second year and if you opt for B.A. in psychology you'll get to conduct research with the professionals.
Infrastructure: Jai Hind doesn't have a hostel of it's own so most student looking to apply in JHC will have to come to Mumbai person and look for a hostel/PG/apartment in your favored location. It would be helpful if you take a hostel/PG/flat in the western line as the station is in walking distance from the college. In terms of infrastructure, Jai Hind doesn't have a campus but it has a foyer and a bleacher where you'll find your peers roaming around. Due to the conjusted space Everybody knows everybody which leads to you building helpful connections for the future.
Faculty: Faculty is one of the prime reasons behind students choosing JHC as their study destination. As the college is autonomous it introduces a lot of skill building Certificate courses for students and the course is reviewed and updated every year. Difficulty of semester exams varies from course to course.
Other: Jai Hind conducts one of the major college fest of India, shout which brings students from different parts of the country in the college.

Jai Hind- A wonderful place to study.
Placements: B.A. courses don't really have placements, as students tend to go for further studies M.A. or get ready for creative jobs (theatre and drama, writing etc.). One advantage the college does have though, is that the teachers constantly offer assistance in the form of finding job vacancies which they offer to students after graduation.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and Library are excellent. However, not much opportunity to play sports due to the small campus size. There's an underground basement and a theatre which can be used for events, but obviously, you'll need permission from the management first.
Faculty: The teachers in English Literature are amazing! They possess in-depth knowledge about their subject and are extremely enthusiastic. Apart from the regular teaching methods, they also conduct group activities, seminars, presentations, book reviews etc. Studying here is enlightening and fun!

Jai Hind college south Mumbai.
Placements: The placement were pretty good. There was a placement cell in the school which was specially instituted for better placement for students. They placement cell organised various interviews in the big corporations and companies. There are many students working in the big firms of the city with the help of placement cell of the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was very good. The college was easily accessible via road and trains. There was a very big library in the college. There was a/V room in the college to hold various programmes of learning. The college had a very big auditorium for organising various co-curricular activities.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful and qualified one of the best faculty of psychology in Mumbai. Teaching methods were very interactive. There were lot of tours organised by the college for students to get information about the subjects. Overall I would rate my experience excellent.

The college has well-maintained infrastructure.
Placements: Not many students were placed because very few companies visited the campus. As our course is psychology, we need to complete masters to get placed in any company or clinic. The college could provide us with internships in some hospitals and clinics so that we get exposure to practicals.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is the best. Every classroom has AC and Wi-Fi facilities. However, sports room is not provided in the college. The library is well-maintained. Food in the canteen is very tasty and hygienic. Everything in the college is well-maintained.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and highly knowledgeable in their fields. They make sure that we understand what we are learning. They also provide us with extra notes and assignments so that we are thorough with every concept in detail. Practical knowledge is also provided to us.
Other: Events and fests are conducted throughout the year.

The best of facilities and great learning experience for every student
Placements: I did not sit for placements. But companies like Google, Viacom 18, ITC Hotels, Yahoo, etc. visited, as per my knowledge. I’m not aware of the package they were offered. I sat for placements in my post-graduation course. While I was graduating I did an internship in a digital agency called “Webchutney” where I wasn’t offered a stipend but definitely got a great work experience.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great and now they’ve extended the campus. A great library which was also the best for students from other colleges, as it ensured the availability of every book. Spacious classrooms, two auditoriums, one for seminars and one for co-curricular activities like Fashion shows, dance shows, debate competitions etc. Decent amount of space for a basket ball court. Though what was even better than all of this was the amazing food that I still miss.
Faculty: Jai Hind’s faculty is one of the best you would find in India. Classroom discussions and encouraging the point of view of every student was what made our lectures interesting. Seminars with the experts in each field were also arranged for the students and we were encouraged to question them and clear all our doubts.

Almost best in everything.
Placements: Jai Hind college gives a lot of opportunities for placements to commerce, unaided section, science, and arts faculty students. Renowned organizations like KPMG visit to recruit the students. Students here get exposed to different organizations and after the selection, they can work with such organizations. Though opportunities for arts students having subjects like history, psychology, english literature, etc. is quite less as more of the business organizations visit for placements. The lowest pay can be estimated to Rs. 10,000 and the highest can be estimated to up to Rs. 50,000 depending upon the organization.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Jai Hind college is one of the best I have come across. The new building in the college campus is centrally air-conditioned. The whole college has Wi-Fi facility. To gain access to it, one needs to pay Rs. 1,000 for the whole year (during my batch). The classrooms are neat. The college has a library and sports & games facilities(A separate room known as gymkhana). Medical facilities arenot available (according to my knowledge). Availability of counseling services. The campus is quite huge. Jai Hind canteen is considered one of the best canteens. The food quality is also good. Availability of non-veg food also. The washrooms are quite neat, clean and provides facility for sanitary napkins for women. The college also has an amphitheater for the students to conduct events and practice. The old building classes are manageable.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very approachable and hold a great amount of knowledge. The principal of the college is very friendly and approachable. The teaching methods include presentations, the projection of films (related to the curriculum), the chalk-talk method, industrial visits, holding events related to the curriculum, etc. A lot of outdoor learning is also emphasized.
Other: This college provides you with a lot of associations and committees. You can join any of them according to your likes and convenience. It gives a lot of emphasis to art and culture. The students and professors both are approachable. Good competition among the students. Gives preference to Sindhi students, as it's a Sindhi college. A lot of exposure to the students, when dealing with other people. Due to a lot of associations and organizations within the college, the possibility of interacting with a lot of people is high. Being part of events on-stage and off-stage gives students a lot to explore within themselves.
