B.Sc. (Hons) Psychology - Batch of 2024

Overall, best college for B.Sc. (hons) in psychology course.
Placements: My college was good and I am a B.Sc. psychology hons student. My batch students got good placements. I am also getting good placement. My package was Rs 5 LPA. My batchmates got a package of Rs 6 LPA to 11 LPA. Top recruiters were Care Counseling Centre, Veda Rehab, Wellness Private Limited, The Mind Clinic, and many more. Top roles were clinical psychologist, counselor, etc. Mostly all students got their internships.
Infrastructure: One aspect I appreciated about our college was its facilities. The structure was quite well-equipped with air-conditioning in many places such as classrooms, library, and many more. Our college also offered Wi-Fi access. Hostel offered competitive rates and features excellent amenities. The cafeteria was nice, tidy, and affordable.
Faculty: Teachers were well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was fantastic. The curriculum of the course was adequate. It made the students more productive, and gave them discipline and knowledge for the future. Semester exams were not that hard, and the pass rate was over 49%.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2028
4.8
5Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
It has a good campus, decent placements, and excellent faculty support.
Placements: At Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, around 75-80% of students from the BCA course got placed, especially those with a strong project background. The highest package is 6.5 LPA, and the lowest package is around 2.8 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, USD Global, and Tech Mahindra. Nearly 60% of students secured internships at Zoho, IBS Software, and a few Kerala-based tech startups. Roles offered are typically front-end developer, support analyst, QA intern, and junior software developer.
Infrastructure: The BCA department has dedicated computer labs with good configuration and regular access to Wi-Fi. The hostel facilities are moderate to good, with clean rooms and on-time maintenance. Wi-Fi is available in common areas. The mess food is decent, serving both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food with variations throughout the week. There is also a well-maintained canteen and medical assistance on call. Sports facilities like a football ground, basketball court, etc., are available for students.
Faculty: Teachers of the BCA department are well-qualified and approachable. Most professors are postgraduates or PhD holders with solid teaching and industrial experience. The course curriculum is up to date with the latest technology and teaches essential skills like coding, data structures, databases, development, and cloud computing. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is high, with most students clearing all subjects on time.
Other: The course offers good value for money for the fee they charge, so I chose it. The teaching quality, infrastructure, and placement support make it worthwhile. Students are friendly, disciplined, and diverse, with people from different parts of Kerala and nearby states. The campus life is enjoyable with events like tech fest, Daksh, cultural days, etc.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2025

My review of this college.
Placements: The college is very good. Every student has to undergo industrial training in the 6th semester for six months. The training exclusively focuses on software development in either commercial applications or systems. A lot of top leading companies in the IT field show interest in college students. I see big companies like TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Gate, Patni, HCL, Google, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, and many more. The package range varies from 2.5 to 5.0 LPA on average. The highest package is about 12 LPA. 100% of students are placed every year with good packages.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is good. If we stay in the college hostel, facilities provided are really amazing. Wi-Fi, hot water, and other amenities are available. The rooms are very nice. Students studying the same course are placed in the same room. There is a discussion between the hostel warden and parents once a month.
Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified, with over 10 years of teaching experience. Some of them have acquired doctorate degrees as well. MCA at Kristu Jayanti College feels like a family. We interact and discuss every minute detail happening in the department. The MCA course duration is 2 years, with 2 main exams each year. There are a total of 6 semesters, and you need to pass each semester to move to the next. Five subjects are taught each semester, with 100 marks for the theory paper and 25 marks for moral education. The course syllabus of MCA is inclined towards the industry and includes two mini-projects to be completed during the summer holidays. This helps students work on their creativity, nurture it, and gain more credit during their holidays.

It is the best college for the MCA course. The college is a value for money.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placements from this course. The highest package is 8 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Microsoft, etc. About 85% of students get internships on campus. Managing is the top role offered to students.
Infrastructure: Very good facilities are available here at a low price. The infrastructure here is very good. Classrooms here are very beautiful. There is a free internet facility in every department. There is a canteen facility where good-quality food is available at a low cost. There are all kinds of outdoor games here.
Faculty: Faculty members here are really good. They are all knowledgeable, and everyone is very kind. Now this time, the course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is 35% per subject.

My review of this college.
Placements: The campus placement is too good. Many deserving students get placed in reputed organizations. Recruiters come to offer internships. The average stipend depends on the recruiters. Some pay Rs.25,000 per month, while others pay Rs.6,000–Rs.7,000 per month. So far, my seniors have had a pleasant experience. The college considers an average of 4 semesters, and a minimum of 60% is required to apply for an interview with any company. Placements are good here. Companies like TCS, Accenture, Nomura, Google, Microsoft, JP Morgan, Capgemini, etc visit the campus. The package range is 2.5-15 LPA, which is a good number.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum is designed to help students understand the needs, requirements, and demands of the industry. They are given all sorts of training and provided with the necessary resources to gain the best knowledge and education. The hostel infrastructure is good. If we stay in the college hostel, facilities provided are really amazing. Wi-Fi, hot water, and other basic amenities are available. The rooms are very nice. Students studying the same course are placed in the same room. There is a discussion between the hostel warden and parents once a month.
Faculty: Faculty of the college ranges from a young workforce to experienced staff. They are experienced and easygoing with students. A few teachers are alumni of the college itself, and since they know the college well, it becomes easier for them to understand and guide students better. There are two semesters in a year and two midterms, both equally important. The midterm consists of 50 marks, with each carrying 15%, and the semester exams are of 50 and 70 marks, each carrying 30%.
